  1. Damn, I was really hoping he would go to the Dodgers to be an assistant and take over once they can Dave Roberts.
  2. Do other teams sign this many central/south American players each off-season? It's like a whole different draft, but it's a bidding war for prospects. Heck of a way to bolster your farm system and build some future trade chips. It seems like the Astros have gotten a considerable amount of good players through this system over the last decade.
  3. It's really a shame the NBA voters robbed Jokic of an MVP 3peat last year. Embiid is probably going to win it this year if he continues his current pace and doesn't get injured. If he does, then they will be in the same predicament next year when he will be going for a 3peat and they will have to pivot again to avoid it for whatever reasons. It's just stupid to turn the MVP award into some popularity contest instead of the typical "best individual player throughout the season."
  4. Scott Foster, Joey Crawford, Tony Brothers and Tim Donaghy
  5. Here's the Ringer theories for what was going on. I think I like the reincarnation theory the best. Still an odd show which I will never watch again. Anyone who likes Emma Stone should just watch the sex scene from episode one, and avoid the micropenises sandwiched around it. I'm not sure what the point of this "art" was, but I hope Nathan goes back to doing comedy soon. https://www.theringer.com/platform/amp/tv/2024/1/15/24038350/the-curse-finale-explained-meaning-theories-questions-nathan-fielder-benny-safdie-green-queen
  6. What about all that dumb "Glee" and "High School Musical" shit for the youngins?
  7. Well if his buyout deal is anything like Jimbo's, then they are probably praying someone else hires him.
  8. Hey hey, you gotta rebuild the farm somehow! Good prospects to add, might pan out in a few years when the current stars are leaving or retiring.
  9. What the fuck did I just watch???
  10. For 90s there were a lot of movies that could qualify: Can't Hardly Wait She's all That 10 Things I Hate About You Cruel intentions Varsity Blues Mallrats Clueless Theres Something about Mary Scream / I know What You Did Last Summer
  11. Houston built a convention hall building next to the stadium to host events like that. It's a nice facility to do indoor/outdoor stuff for the rodeo, car shows, etc. More stadiums should do that, as it allows for all the public transportation services and parking to be utilized for lots more activities.
  12. Elaine, you look scrumptious! I'm into season 5 of my full rewatch, and got to the TV Guide episode last night. I'm seeing so many actors that I never recognized as a kid/teenager when this show was on the air. The guy that plays weird dude on the Subway who takes Elaine's TV Guide is the one who played the worthless lawyer on Scrubs and one of the aliens in Galaxy Quest. His name is Sam Lloyd And he's the nephew of Christopher Lloyd. Funny guy, and a good choice for the role. Sadly he passed away from lung cancer in 2020 at the age of 56.
  13. What is it? A whole empire based on putting your feet up?!?
  14. That's good for us, because it likely means the weather will be the best condition we can get. Both the Chiefs and Ravens have open-air stadiums, so it's going to be cold and shitty either way. I think I would rather have a crack at Baltimore than KC at this point, but they are both going to be a challenge on the road. Although, the thought of beating the Chiefs and making all the Swifty fans sad is also enticing.
  15. Congrats to the Detroit Lions finally breaking a 32 year drought without a playoff victory!
  16. Obviously roughing the passer, but no flag. The fix is in.
  17. You know who is really upset watching Jordan Love kick ass right now? Aaron Rodgers, hahaha
