  1. Wow, what a terrible way to lose a game. Abreu error is what did it, can't blame the pitchers when idiots don't field a routine ground ball that leads to 2 runs.
  2. Just need a homer to win it, is that so much to ask?
  3. This was posted 6 hours ago...
  4. Nice job by Hader to go 1-2-3 on that inning. Let's hope the top of the order can produce 1 run and salvage this series.
  5. He really liked his stats at age 35. I mean, why wouldn't he keep it up for 3 more years?
  6. Those extra at-bats also mean the Braves start the 9th with their 9-1-2 batters instead of the 7-8-9.
  7. That error by Abreu also cost an out, which allowed the 2nd out to be a sac fly instead of ending the inning. Fucking blows.
  8. Early game today, just started with a single off the first pitch by Acuna. Pirate stream for those that need it: https://www.thestreameast.to/mlb/atlanta-braves-houston-astros-8/ Oh and now they called a balk on JP for his pickoff attempt at him, Acuna to second...
  9. And he gets taxed a huge amount for that, about 37%. Plus he's building his own 20 million dollar home/compound in Hawaii, probably spending elsewhere moving to a new city, etc etc. I know his potential earnings are ungodly, but missing 24m is probably a pretty big dent in his bank account at the moment.
  10. Thanks to the wonders of AI music technology, I can make this into a song in minutes! I added a little to it, but you get the idea. Have a listen! https://suno.com/song/b6f6f2e1-cc55-4227-b94f-57a99b87ab64
  11. An 8-9 Play-in would probably be more practical, but they want the extra games with the elimination games ala NCAA Tournament style of play. It's a big draw, gets people to watch what would otherwise be snoozer 1v8 and 2v7 series. It's an entertainment product and all, I don't see an issue with it.
  12. He doesn't, but he's out around 24? million if we are to believe the accusations against his interpreter. That's a huge chunk of change to a guy only making 2m a year in salary. He really needs to pick up some new endorsement deals to fill in that cash, maybe ESPN Bet could use a new frontman?
  13. Looked foul to me, but might as well challenge, not like you have any other options.
  14. Finally this team will properly address the Closer position and cut Hader.
  15. Looks like Barney and Baby Bop's lovechild.
  16. Just paid Derka via venmo, congrats buddy!
  17. Get your rally caps ready, Chas is on second!
  18. I think it depends on the player. If you're a guy like Singleton, Meyers, Dubon, Abreu, etc, don't swing. If you're a badass hitter in top 4 of the lineup, swing away.
  19. They are additive for each drawing between the Rockets/Nets picks, so 6% chance of getting pick #1 in this chart. Then you have 6.5% for #2, 7.1% for #3 and 7.8% for #4. If you want to add all those together, then you have to divide it by 400, not 100, because it's 4 drawings. Nets have a 5.05% chance of top 4, Rockets pick is 1.8%, and you can add those together for a 6.85% chance of a top 4 pick between the two. The AVG column on the right is the average draft position for that pick based on the odds.
  20. That's not how it works. You have a ~5/100 chance 4 times, which is like 20/400, or 5% overall for the Nets pick. Rockets have a very slim chance of getting their pick upgraded, so it will likely be the 9th overall pick from the Nets and nothing else.
  21. They had significant injuries to Mobley, Mitchell and Garland throughout the year, and were only 1 game out of third place. They put in a half-hearted effort today against the Hornets and basically tanked the game, since it meant nothing. Not exactly a great argument if you're trying to say they aren't a top 3 team in the East. The only team that may have had worse injury luck in the East was Philly. Giannis missed 9 games, Dame 10, and they were 1 game better than Cleveland. Whoopty doo.
  22. Probably the worst called game I have witnessed, strike zone was 4 feet wide at times, and then not on the very next pitch. It's like they need to put an ump bump (is that a thing?) behind home plate so he knows where to stand, because it seems like he's moving over a foot every few pitches. Love the 3 incorrect strikes against Langford as the callout on the side. He would be an embarrassment to the league if they actually cared about accuracy, or maybe they are keeping him around so they can make a better case for robo-umps.
  23. Altuve is right, this game was a blueprint for the plan going forward. If they can score 7 runs in the 7th every game, they should be able to win 90+ by the end of the season. I really like that plan and hope they continue it.
