  1. The beat the shit out of the Motts ones. Better than gummy bears, dots, jujy fruits, gushers, fruit by the foot, etc. Name a better gummy that isn't sour. Btw, I recently had gushers for the first time since childhood, and I was appalled at how bad they are.
  2. Let's say Houston embarrasses the Browns on Saturday, the Browns overreact and fire their HC Stefanski (they are the Browns after all), then they give BB 20 million a year for 7 years, biggest coaching contract in history, and BB gets to figure out how to fix Deshaun Watson and toy around with the best defense in the league. Bill gets to go back to Cleveland and try bring a Super Bowl to one of the worst franchises in all of major US sports!
  3. Oh, well, I really think I'm falling for you... Joseph Puglia...?
  4. Completely depends on who the new ownership group is. Cal and Hannah are running the day to day operations, while the other 3 kids don't appear to be involved. In the past, some of the failed NFL ownership bids by big names have been Jeff Bezos (tried to buy the Commanders) and the Manning family (Broncos, lost to Waltons), have been in the mix. Mark Cuban just sold the Mavs, so he could potentially move down I45 and buy the Texans instead, but I don't know if the NFL owners would want to deal with him. Someone with infinite funding like Bezos isn't all that attractive as an owner, since the NFL doesn't have luxury tax like the NBA and MLB do. You can't overspend your way to a championship like the Dodgers or Warriors try to do every year. It would be great to get someone local who cares about the city, but I'm not sure how many billionaires around here would want an NFL team. I do wonder if Cal will have an option to retain his stake in the team while the other 3 kids sell theirs, if the sale is forced on Janice, but it's a sticky situation and will take a few years to work out.
  5. I think he does believe it, I a few have friends who listen to Joe Rogan and those types, and they do the same thing when presenting their insane ideas. "I think it will be interesting when..." or "We will never know the truth because [insert dark shadowy organization]..." It's always speculative, so you can't really nail them on anything and they can retreat to a "Well you never know..." sort of position to defend their psyche from actually being wrong. It's intellectually dishonest and cowardly, but that's the mind of anyone who largely buys into conspiracies. Agree on McAfee, he's just playing with fire so people will notice him. I think he knows what Rodgers brings to the conversation, and letting him wander off topic into something like Epstein is par for the course. Pat playing dumb like he has no idea what Rodgers is talking about, is just showing his selfishness and lack of concern for the slander being hosted on his platform. It's garbage shock jock content to get clicks, views, followers, etc, but I do wonder if this will result in litigation from Kimmel. He clearly has a case.
  6. Ya know what? They got the hot fudge on the bottom.... that allows you to control the fudge distribution while you're eating your ice cream! Who knew a man could know so much about nothing?
  7. I would be surprised if anyone hired Slowik as a head coach, he's 36 and doesn't have a ton of experience. It's good for him to do the interviews and get experience with the process, but I doubt he would get the job this year. I also wouldn't let him interview until after the Texans are done in the playoffs, way too much work to prep for opponents while being distracted by interviews. I think he needs a couple more seasons of success before someone promotes him to HC. This year is the first time he has been an OC for an NFL team, guys usually have several years of that before making the jump to HC.
  8. I don't know any Huskies fans, but I know some Michigan fans and they will be insufferable if they win. So go Washington!
  9. (after fucking up the negotiation for the pilot) Russel: Alright $8000. George: You made Jerry very happy! (closes door in George's face) ... [knock knock knock] George: Can I use your bathroom?
  10. Translation: "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! GIVE ME ATTENTION AND SUBSCRIBE TO MY PODCAST!!!" 0% chance he was going to leave 75 million on the table.
  11. Yeah that's fair. McAfee gushing over CJ too. Hopefully this means ESPN will take notice and move Houston up the TV pecking order next year and for the next decade. It's crazy to think that you could make an argument that the current top 4 QBs are all in the AFC right now.
  12. Cleveland is a small market team, and I think as far as NFL teams go, the Texans are a mid-market team. If they were playing the Bills or Steelers it would be a prime time game. Both teams matter, it's not entirely the Texans fault for getting an afternoon slot. Need either a big market, or a huge legacy following of fans to get the good spots.
  13. lol, Tannehill could have made a better throw than that!
  14. C'mon TItans, finish off the Jags please!
  15. @Wulaw Hornhey I listened to your Astros Revenue and Economics podcast the other day, and I enjoyed the peek behind the curtain into their business operations. I know it's not public data, so it's hard to piece together and takes a lot of work, so it's appreciated how much time and dedication you put into it! I had a few follow up questions for you: 1. Do you have a listing of your estimates in a visual format from top to bottom? I know you guys talked through it quite a bit, but a visual would be interesting and listing the top revenue streams in order. (This would make for a good infographic to promote your pod, if you're interested in doing that) 2. Have you thought about doing the same kind of work for any other teams, or maybe looking for someone else's homework to use as a comparison? It would be interesting to see how wide the gap is between the 1%ers and the upper middle class. It would also be interesting to see what some small market teams have to work with too. 3. Do you have any idea what the Astros estimated profits were for other recent years? I know it's not published data, so it's hard to determine, but it would be nice to see how it moves year to year. 4. I think you said the loss of the RSN this past year probably cost the Astros ~20-30 million in guaranteed money this year, but do you think that will be continue? Will this new Rockets/Astros RSN be able to get back to the same level of revenue at some point, or are they just doomed to have middling TV revenue from now until the next Bally or ATT comes along to overpay again?
  16. Wait, didn't you have a brother who posted on the old board? I don't think his name was Macklemore, something Iconic though, not really sure...
  17. Nice win, finally back in the playoffs! Now let's hope the Jags shit the bed and give us the division win 😁
  18. Really needed that first down, keep the train rolling!
  19. Q4 now, time to lock it down.
  20. Do the Colts always play Cover 3? I haven't been looking for it every play, but it seems they drop a lot of safeties on long downs. Can't believe the Texans aren't doing better at hitting short slants or 10 yard outs. There should be a lot more space to work with if you don't go deep so often.
  21. Run defense is pretty bad, need to go up a few scores and force them to make Minshew throw a lot more.
