Like how do you just run into a pile every time? Is Marks not allowed to try to run to the outside when there is clearly 10 guys in a pile in front of him?

4th and 1, and you can't wrap up the RB at the LOS. Fucking sucks, could have been a turnover if Hunter holds on to him.

The CFP ruined college football.
12 teams is too many for a playoff, but it's infinitely better than the bullshit that preceded it. We will have a very good pair of teams facing off in the Final, even if the first round is a bit of a dud.

2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
Isn't the ACC guaranteed 1 team in the playoffs? I figured that's why they took Miami, because Duke was the alternative. Bama vs ND, well we have seen how that matchup goes in the past...

I think the second round should allow the 1-2-3 seeded teams to pick their opponents. Then follow the bracket system. Would be funny to see who picks who and create some more tension.

Got too cute there. I sure hope this means the ACC won't be in the playoff.

They should have done something with it about 25 years ago. Now it's full of mold and god knows what. All the renovations proposals have had astronomical pricetags and don't have any chance of making an ROI worth the risk. Might as well demo it and make it something useful, even if it is more parking.

He's about to pass a few big names this year. Hopefully we get to see him pass Karl Malone while he's in a Rockets jersey too.

I honestly don't think that's enough to make the Bucks say yes. If I'm them, I want max picks and a few young guys who are unproven. Yeah Sengun looks really really promising, but him + 1 FRP doesn't exactly setup the Bucks to compete in the near or long future. They need a gigantic bounty to have any chance of rebounding, and that means more risk for more reward. Less proven players with upside + more picks is likely more valuable to them. Not that the Rockets have interest in sending that many picks, but I think that's what it would take.

The Chair Company on HBO
I laughed pretty hard at the mask guy throwing panties at Ron, and then telling him they were Amanda's. Tims reaction to that kind of stuff is always great. Douglas suggesting that they keep Ron, but demote him a few levels was pretty funny too. Also makes me think he's involved with the Tecca conspiracy, because he wants to keep Ron close and keep tabs on him... Or drive him insane. I know it's probably not going to happen, but it would be funny if Jeff was also investigating this chair situation and possibly someone embezzling money at his company through it. Maybe Jeff downloaded the Red Ball Market Global song to his phone, because he made the same connections Ron did. Maybe him and Ron share their knowledge and team up in a buddy cop way to go after the real perpetrators of this fraudulent scheme. It would be fun to see them work together more, and have some clashes.

NBA 2025-2026 Season Thread
I watched the second half of the Spurs/Magic game with my Spurs friend last night, and it was entertaining. Luke Kornet saved the game from going to OT with an awesome swat at the last second, and then his whole team mobbed him. It was a great moment, and you love to see this kind of reaction from guys.

That NOLA trade still puzzles me. Like the Hawks wouldn't do it for a top 3 protection? It's just so odd not to draw a line somewhere with a team that hasn't been good in years. Good for the Hawks though.

So then who would play Centerfield?- Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
It's crazy for the #16 ranked team to beat the #3 team by 10 points and then only move up 2 spots while they move down to #7. Both should have moved more spots.- Lane Kiffin to LSU?
This really does beg the question of "what does the playoff committee do with Ole Miss?" Either they keep them in as an easy speed bump of an opponent for a favorite big name school that kinda sucks (Notre Dame) Or They kick them to the curb and leave them out all together, which allows a team like Texas/Bama/Miami to sneak in. It wouldn't be unprecedented with the way they treated Florida State in the past, but it would make for much better football games.- Houston Texans 2025 Season Thread
Well, at least they didn't lose to the Colts.- Houston Texans 2025 Season Thread
Don't think we have the linemen for the Tush Push strategy. Probably shouldn't do that again.- Lane Kiffin to LSU?
I don't have a dog in this fight, but I think it's really shitty that coaches can leave and be hired while the season is still in progress. Ole Miss will almost certainly have a playoff spot, but will not be near 100% without Kiffin, and with the way the portal works, his players will be distracted by recruiting and figuring out where to go next year instead of the game ahead. It's also extremely unfair to the players and fans that outside forces derail a great season. It's not the school's fault, because this is how the business is, but it would be nice if the NCAA put in a hiring moratorium for all schools until 2 days after the championship game is played. A freeze on recruiting too, and spare the portal transfers and announcements until then as well. The NFL has a similar deal where teams still active in the playoffs cannot have staff poached until they lose in order to maintain continuity and focus on quality games. - 2025 - 2026 Astros Offseason Thread
