I dunno how many of you have watched this show, but I love it and I think it's brilliant. If you ever enjoyed watching the old typical terrible American sitcoms, where the husband is a stupid oaf manchild and the wife has to keep the house together, then you'll appreciate this sort of satirical dark comedy of a sitcom like that, but it's from the perspective of the wife. Annie Murphy plays the lead actress (the daughter from Schitt's Creek) and she nails this role as a trapped housewife trying to hold it together and keep things on track, while dealing with an emotionally abusive relationship.
I'm only halfway through season 1, but I have loved every minute of this show. The way it riffs on sitcom tropes is hilarious, and the roller coaster of emotions Allison feels, emptiness, fear, depression, hatred, etc, is realistic and funny in a dark way. She's a bit of an anti-hero in a lot of ways, so I don't think you really root for her, but it's just such an interesting perspective that I want to keep watching to see where it goes. I highly recommend giving it a try, it's only 16 episodes in total, so it's a quick binge watch, and it's very entertaining.
