  1. I didn't realize the NFL allowed Big 12 refs to do their games.
  2. Well that was a shitty end to the season. I thought they would at least win 1 against the Tigers, and we would get to see Skubal vs Kikuchi tomorrow for a win or go home game. There are a lot of questions for the off-season, but if they can find a way to keep Bregman and Kikuchi, I think they could round out the roster pretty well from there and win the division again next year. They aren't sunk yet, and if Tucker doesn't get a freak injury off a foul ball, this team probably has 93+ wins and a first round bye. Anyway, that's baseball. Get em next year.
  3. Same, I have no idea why it did that.
  4. Yikes, not getting much action at all here. Need one more shutdown inning from Brown, then go to the pen.
  5. C'mon Pena, show us some of that 2022 magic you had...
  6. Not a prosecutor, and informed politician, which is what he's supposed to be. At times he looked a bit baffled or lost his place in his answer, which isn't a great look for someone who has been prepping for this for over a week. JD blamed numerous things on "Kamala's Policies" without pushback, not even a question of "which policies exactly, please explain so we can actually debate?" His job is to call that stuff out as well as explain how their policies will make things better. He he did the latter numerous times, and was good at bringing things about how to focus on the future and make things better.
  7. I love Walz, he's a good dude, and I'm happy to have him as Veep, but his inability to lob mortars back at JD tonight makes me appreciate Kamala's performance in the last debate so much more. She was a fucking sniper shooting holes in Trump's bullshit all night and destroyed him at every turn. I think Walz was mostly trying to follow a script rather than pivot on bullshit that JD spewed and call him out on his lies. He got him on a few things like the 2020 election, but there were a lot of shots fired by JD that went unanswered. Oh well, it's just a meaningless VP debate.
  8. That was a good round for Tim, JD can't say who won the 2020 election and wants to avoid any talk of Jan6.
  9. Ya know who would be really good at taking care of kids and providing daycare for working families while working for a reasonable cost? Immigrant women...
  10. I wonder how much JD had to rehearse the adoring lines about his wife. Probably took a few weeks to work out the glitches.
  11. They need to make this a meme, people claiming ordinary things were always available before Trump and giving his "leadership" credit for it. "I ordered a 7 layer beef burrito under Donald Trump's leadership!" "I saved 15% on my car insurance under Donald Trump's leadership!" "I had sexual relations with my LayZBoy under Donald Trump's leadership!"
  12. Ok, I just laughed out loud at JD's "even some people in my family got insurance under Donald Trump's leadership!"
  13. Yeah, but you can't let that slip. There is no reason to claim that mass shootings are being committed by guns trafficked through a porous border, we have more guns than people in the country there is no short supply. So many of the recent shootings were obtained legally, and in some cases, they never should have been sold in the first place. We have plenty of opportunities in legislation to address it and reduce the frequency. JD is trying to conflate "illegally obtained firearms used in shootings" which happens plenty, with "firearms trafficked by cartels" which is a venn diagram that barely overlaps.
  14. Ok Walz, ask him to name 1 mass shooting that was committed by a gunman with a gun trafficked by Mexican cartels. GO FOR THE THROAT ON THIS LIAR!
  15. Saying "it was fact checked at the last debate" is not a good look of an answer. It makes me think he doesn't know much about a bill he signed. Tim should be able to expound on that a bit more. Not that it really matters all that much in the grand scheme of things, but Vance has appeared much better prepared and more polished. He's still a turd, but he's a polished turd.
  16. Vance really took that abortion topic and flipped it around, good job reframing it as pro-life, pro-family, etc etc. Obviously the sinister part of their platform is that they want a full ban with no exceptions, but that's a great job of putting lipstick on a pig, as they say.
  17. 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre Date of protests: 15 April – 4 June 1989 (1 month, 2 weeks and 6 days) Tim was there in August? Not too far off, but not exactly the same time. I don't really care.
  18. The entire Republican Platform is based on pretending that Donald Trump was not president after 2019.
  19. Yeah they had work shopped this line months ago for Trump to use against "Trader Joe" for his love of China or whatever, but I guess they ran out of ideas and are recycling it for this debate.
