  1. I can certainly relate; outside of Cavs games, I probably haven't watched a single NBA game start to finish in years. The NBA today is basically a 3 point shooting contest every game. I mean, this is ridiculous..and it's from the defending champions!
  2. West looks wide open this season - there are about 5 or 6 teams that could win the conference and I wouldn't be surprised. 1) OKC 18-5 2) Dallas 16-8 3) Houston 15-8 4) Memphis 15-8 5) GS 13-9 6) Clippers 14-10 7) Minnesota 12-10 8 ) PHX 12-10 9) Denver 11-10 10) Lakers 12-11
  3. Fuck Bert, Quinn, sark and Guilbeau
  4. What I posted about the KAT trade back in September. Sorry ANT.
  5. Still very early but it sure does look like Minnesota fucked themselves over with the KAT trade. Now below .500, Donte has stunk, Randle is a jag (and if the Wolves make the playoffs, he'll be even worse in those playoffs just as he's always been throughout his career), and KAT is putting up insane numbers with the Knicks.
  6. Succinct breakdown of the contract situation of Ty Jerome, whose contract is up at the end of the year. He keeps playing like this the rest of the year the Cavs may get Hartenstein'd.
  7. Ty Jerome went crazy again.
  8. Not too discouraged - road game, Celtics shoot 54% from 3, no Levert/Okoro/Wade, Garland was awful...and the Celtics won by just 3.
  9. Cavs are nervous and playing tight.
  10. This is crazy.
  11. Not likely. They are saying his status will merely be updated in 8-10 weeks, which means they could decide to shut him down until next Fall depending how he's healing. If Chet is back at all this season, it likely won't be until March or April.
  12. I think Okoro & Wade are the ones most likely to lose minutes when Strus comes back. Jerome is an interesting case; a month ago it would have made some sense to get rid of him as dumping his salary would allow the Cavs to get under the tax. Not too big of a deal this year, but the Cavs are destined for the repeater tax for the foreseeable future (the Mobley extension kicks in next year so starting next year, just Mobley/Garland/Mitchell will be costing $120 million a year). Getting under the cap this year probably saves about $50 million in 2027 or 2028. So there is quite a bit of incentive to get under the tax line (the Cavs are less than $2 million above that tax line right now and Jerome is only earning $2.5 million this year. But he's played so well that I can't imagine getting rid of Jerome is on the table at this point. He's been so effective it's allowed Mitchell and Garland to stay under 30 minutes a game and there is no drop-off when he comes in the game. And I had no idea he was 6'5".
  13. Max Strus hasn't played yet and it'll be interesting to see how Atkinson integrates him into the lineup and whose minutes decrease.
  14. In a losing effort tonight, Brunson, Hart, and Bridges each played over 40 minutes while OG played almost 39. Mind you, it is November 10. Thibs gonna Thibs and WorldWideWob had some thoughts.
