  1. This is the first year I haven't put preseason money on the Jets to win the cup since they moved back to Winnipeg, so there is hope it can continue.
  2. Second floor. No issues with water. This storm was reverse surge so no flooding on the first floor. Helene had more of a surge and it was not an issue for 1st floor either in my area.
  3. Was able to make it up to St Pete this weekend. Impact glass shattered in two windows but nothing came in. We never lost power in the condo but internet went out. Current view form the camera: This was the last video we got before internet went down 2024-10-14_11-17-20.mp4
  4. All good here in Naples, lost cameras in st Pete overnight.
  5. more of the same in st pete wind picking up but the bay is flowing out it has so far been a non event for non coastal Naples. Windy and rain there was more rain yesterday the coast is see some surge but not Ian levels…yet Naples pier
  6. Video... the gulf is to the left so the waves are going in the right direction for surge (or lack there of) 2024-10-09_15-33-12.mp4
  7. Wind picking up a bit, still not bad: 2024-10-09_11-06-02.mp4
  8. 2024-10-09_09-03-46.mp4 Switching to video for new updates
  9. Calmest update yet...the calm before the storm.
  10. Yes unfortunately, I have a UPS on it for quick power hits but any sustained outage will kill it
  11. Appreciate it, no worries it is a ring camera mounted on the balcony, I am south at my house in Naples far enough inland
  12. 7:00 Tuesday morning - the lights across the bay are Pasadena on the left and Gulfport on the right. Both significant flooding from Helene
  13. This is exactly why I spend my weekends in St Pete
  14. Live and work in Naples. Have a condo in st Pete on boca ciega bay, spend weekends there.
  15. All still quiet as expected. Should stay like this until Tuesday night Wednesday morning
  16. My Naples house is about 5 miles as the crow flies from the beach and we should have no issue with storm surge, stayed dry during Ian which was more than 12 ft in some areas St Pete condo, is in a poured concrete building on the 2nd floor with impact windows, no worries there either. But there are no guarantees at either place. During Helene the surge came over the sea wall and about 6-8 inches from the shrubs in the pic below (you can actually see a little debris on the left), probably needed another 12-18 inches of water before ground floor would have taken water. We are riding this one out in Naples, have a propane generator, shuttles and picking up a fresh keg of beer for the kegerator on my way home from work today.
  17. At work now in Naples, house is far enough inland that storm surge won't be an issue. Condo in St Pete is on 2nd floor overlooking Boca Ciega Bay, first floor was good during Helene so not expecting any water issues from Milton. Set a ring camera up over the bay with battery backup so will try to post updates: 8:45 Monday nice and calm
