  1. It's sad how comforting and almost euphoric the feeling was when you had 2 or 3 days worth of everything you needed and knew you weren't going to leave the house. I loved that feeling and still miss it at times.
  2. Well I can't find one and I'm not a lawyer. So you're gonna to have a lot more people telling you to fuck off than I have.
  3. Was actually watching this yesterday and wondering if the movie would get crucified today because of Simple Jack.
  4. Yeah, that's what I figured. I mean, every one of us had a starting point at one time.
  5. Do you guys that do AA get a lot of people that come in with a "drinking problem" and say they have 4 or 5 drinks a day? I've seen that on a few alcoholic boards. I'm curious as to how those people are generally looked at by the 20-30 drinks a day crowd. I'm assuming as welcomed as anyone, but have y'all sensed any sort of animosity or go fuck yourself, you don't belong here reactions?
  6. Yeah, just keep it simple. Double both and you might as well just start the increased pay now.
  7. That felt good to get out.
  8. I told my doctor today I can't climax anymore.
  9. I've made the decision recently to move back to my hometown in Iowa, after being in the south for 20 years, to start helping out my folks. They are 75 and 76 and moving around just fine. Minds are fine. But they are still just a little worse each time I see them, so I'm not going to miss out on any more time with them and regret it. I had to assure them I'm not moving back for them, but that was a flat out lie. But it's just as much for me as for them. Mending fences and shit. We are at a point now where we will all enjoy and be grateful for the time we spend together. And fuck they raised me. It's my time to take care of them.
  10. If it's anywhere close to VEEP I'll love it

i gotta piss like a 3 pussied possum
  12. I think about this a lot. I felt it a bit, but didn't really see it. I suppose it's different for everyone, but it took me quite a while after, to piece together the first few months of sobriety. I'm still relatively fresh, so things are still changing a lot. @Jerry Callo Big hug! A year is really something to be proud of. Let yourself.
  13. Nope. See one of those episodes live?

Laundry day and diet day quickly went to caramel cheese corn and football day for some reason
  15. I got kicked off of a flight for doing part of this same thing, except I was shitfaced drunk and tried to stumble to the front bathroom while we were landing.
  16. Really the only thing this has stirred up in me, is revisiting some boyhood curiosity of what Diana was like in bed.
  17. I drove from Kansas City to Austin yesterday. Was right in front of all that shit, luckily. The sky was black in my mirror the whole way.
  18. "I'm goin' to slow pump some babies into your daughter one at a time and twice on Sunday's". Did I hear that correctly? The Coen brothers are national treasures.
  19. I kinda want to punch Brad every time he tries to be funny.
  20. I really liked Messiah. I do put some weight on RT's and other reviews, just because there's so much shit on TV now, so I went in with somewhat low expectations. There were a few dumb parts with the writing, but it pretty much grabbed me from end of the 1st episode all the way through.
  21. I can't understand greed of this magnitude. What was this guy's legit salary? 20, 30, 40, 50mm a year?
  22. I just finished it and really liked it too
  23. I've got a big bag of the caramel and cheese corn mix they sell at Costco. It's unopened and staring at me a lot. I put on about 10 over the holiday's but then had to go on the road for work, so I'm still eating like crap. That's not a good excuse, but I gotta get home and get back on track.
