  1. This is a fear I have had. There will be an internal civil war in Gaza. Going to be rough for the Peacekeepers. 'They were running from their own people': At least 27 killed in violent clashes in Gaza City At least 27 people have been killed in clashes between Hamas and a Gaza City clan since the end of major Israeli operations in the territory At least 27 people have been killed in fierce clashes between Hamas security forces and armed members of the Dughmush family in Gaza City, in one of the most violent internal confrontations since the end of major Israeli operations in the enclave. Masked gunmen from Hamas exchanged fire with militants near the Jordanian hospital in southern Gaza City. Witnesses said that, according to a senior official in the Hamas-run Interior Ministry, security units surrounded an armed militia inside the city and engaged in heavy fighting to detain its members. The ministry said eight members of the security forces were killed in what it described as “an armed assault by a militia”. Local medical sources said that 19 members of the Dughmush clan were killed, along with eight Hamas fighters, since the fighting began Saturday. Eyewitnesses said the clashes erupted in the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood after a Hamas force of more than 300 fighters moved to storm a residential block where Dughmush gunmen were entrenched. Residents described scenes of panic as dozens of families fled their homes under heavy gunfire, many of them displaced multiple times during the war. "This time people weren’t fleeing Israeli attacks," one resident said. "They were running from their own people." https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cder1pg17yrt
  2. Madagascar says hold my lemur. ANTANANARIVO, Madagascar (AP) — Madagascar’s president said Sunday that an attempted coup was underway in the Indian Ocean country, just a day after members of an elite army unit had joined youth-led protests against the government and called for the president to step down. President Andry Rajoelina’s office offered no details on who was behind the attempt and no signs of violence were immediately visible on the streets on Sunday. Madagascar has been shaken by three weeks of the most significant unrest in years in the nation. The protests are led by a group calling itself “Gen Z Madagascar,” and the United Nations says the demonstrations have left at least 22 people dead and dozens injured. The government has disputed this number. https://apnews.com/article/madagascar-protests-attempted-coup-e6dd29a429e06362efd238cfac7270d0
  3. Arab states expanded cooperation with Israeli military during Gaza war, files show Israeli and Arab military officials have come together for meetings and trainings, facilitated by U.S. Central Command, on regional threats, Iran and underground tunnels. Even as key Arab states condemned the war in the Gaza Strip, they quietly expanded security cooperation with the Israeli military, leaked U.S. documents reveal. Those military ties were thrown into crisis after Israel’s September airstrike in Qatar, but could now play a key role in overseeing the nascent ceasefire in Gaza. Over the past three years, facilitated by the United States, senior military officials from Israel and six Arab countries came together for planning meetings in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan and Qatar. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2025/10/11/us-israel-arab-military-leaked-documents/
  4. Interesting. Those Tomahawks seem to scare them.
  5. It hit the bat. That was a bullshit call.
  6. I did my usual bet with my mentor. Loves OU, did not go to school there. But he was a journalist in Norman for a long time. We have been doing the same bet, a hat bought from the university's book store since 2002. Yeah, their store has more money than the CoOp. That said. Fuck OU.
  7. FUCK OU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Alright then, fuck it.
  9. That is corruption. And fuck that. And you know we do have a facility in Qatar that is kind of important to us in the region right?
  10. Good sir, I am not minimizing shit. Trust me. But this is a distraction that has been going on since the creation of NATO. Randolph Air Force Base is a major language school. Yeah, we teach English there to any partner nation. There are NATO planes over the US right now. There are Saudi's flying over south Texas. Right now. I hate the Argentina bail out. Fucks up both our and their economy. It is not a wedge issue. If SecDef had not said a thing very few would know.
  11. I think everyone knows I am not a fan of the current administration, but this does not bother me. 1- Singapore is already flying at this location. 2- We have contingents of NATO nations flying across the US West. Main reason is we have space. 3- Qatar's airspace is crowded. So let them train. 4- We have plenty of Arabs flying in the US. My Step Mother was part of the training mission at Randolph. Yep, there are Saudi pilots right now flying here. Yeah, considering everything else going on, I am not bothered by this.
  12. Yep. Would also like to see Story stay. He is solid and seems to help out the team as another leader.
  13. Yep. OK, so what are the moves the Sox need to make this off season? 1- A true #2 starter. 2- DH? 3- And please fucking stay healthy. No stupid shit guys. (Applies to the Team and the few of us on this site.)
  14. It is not hard. But will the powers listen?
  15. 1- When did we adopt a national religion? 2- Most there felt the cringe. 3- Dude knocking over his bottle of water at the end. 4- Left side. Who the fuck wears body armor in a secure facility?
  16. We used to get high in 1998 and watch the weather channel after leaving the UGL. Loved it.
  17. Rafah is critical to bringing in aid. But, the three checkpoints with IDF and International security will result in a lot of idle time for those trucks. Big question. So the Arab states are going to send in peacekeepers. Where the fuck do they live? How do they get resupplied? Fun times.
  18. Yeah, I know it is Daily Mail, but the amount is staggering. The staggering extent of Elon Musk's land grab in Southern state revealed However, it was not clear until now the staggering extent to which the richest man in the world has expanded in the Lone Star State. Musk's companies own more than 500 properties covering 6,000 acres in Texas. His expansive network of factories, tunnels, and launch pads spreads from the top to the bottom. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/real-estate/article-15137419/elon-musk-texas-takeover-tesla.html
  19. it is out there. He has been nominated. Then we're out and the door is closed. It's decision time. And looming large over the whole affair is one figure: Donald Trump. The world's most powerful man wants the world's most prestigious award. It seems as if he's become fixated on it. In speeches and press conferences, he has repeatedly reeled off a list of the seven wars he says he has solved. He's boasted that he deserves the award and that "everyone says I should get it", but told troops in Virginia last month: "They'll give it to some guy that didn't do a damn thing; they'll give it to the guy who wrote a book about the mind of Donald Trump… it will be a big insult to our country." World leaders appear to have realised Nobel flattery is a way to his heart. Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu publicly whipped out a nomination letter at the White House; Azerbaijan's president told Trump in a news conference that he deserved the prize; Pakistan's government announced it had nominated him, winning plaudits from the president. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cg5ejm4qrzyo
  20. Sorry Bruin, but more baseball is not a bad thing.
  21. Damn.....
  22. I thought that gone.
  23. Maybe. But the last thing Maduro wants is to give Trump a reason.
