Nice of Wilson to just give up on that play. Don’t worry about finishing dipshit.
  2. Went to my PCP and talked things through. He gave me some Librium. Tonight about 10:00 will be the 72-hour mark and everything has been fine. I’m embarrassed and kicking myself I didn’t try this sooner. I was scared of withdrawal and, more than that, failing. So I just kept kicking the can down the road. I know there’s a long, long way to go but the first step has been good. I’ll be at a meeting tonight, will not drink today, and wake up tomorrow without a hangover.

Bruin, I’m on the other side of your problem. I got rectal cancer in 2017 and went through chemo, etc. oh and they removed some important parts of my asshole system and said I might be having issues for the rest of my life. I ended up with no permanent issues and was recently discharged from my surveillance program. Just keep on doing what they tell you to do. I’m put together a bit different than I was five years ago but am otherwise the same dumbass fellow. Good luck with the surgery!
  4. These Kansas guys are assholes.

    * “no evidence of metastatic disease”

I was Basil Your Face on the old site and told you fools when I got got stage three butt cancer in 2017. Had surgery and chemo and a bunch of other stuff. The surveillance window is five years for me. I have an appointment with my primary care cancer doc on Tuesday to discuss the CT scan I had last Wednesday. For reasons I can’t fathom MDAnderson decided to send me my results in advance - “no evidence is metastatic disease.” I’m done. Recurrence chances now are the same as anyone else getting it in the first place. Patient number 2144027 (a number I’ve repeated hundreds of times and will never forget) will be discharged. Cancer sucks but is often won. Cheers. Bijan fucks.
  7. Nah, you’re a loon.
  8. You of you guys are batshit insane. And angry.
  9. On their political board they use the term “feral culture” when they’re aching to drop a n-bomb.
  10. Only Guido’s I know is in Cozumel.
  11. That’s good to hear. Thanks. I will do this. I will be attending my first AA meeting in the near future.
  12. Oops double.
  13. Thanks everyone for the advice. Some of the assumptions are off but the underlying story is the same. I’m scheduled to enter rehab 1/4. I’ve never been through a medical detox or whatever comes after it - all I know is I get bent out-of-my-skin if I don’t get my fix. Any advice on what detox is like? And I know that’s a loaded question that may not be answerable. I have nightly cravings but don’t day drink. I don’t have day cravings and don’t get smashed in the blackout sense. But come 5-7 at night that demon is there and demands some drinks, every night. I think I’ll try some AA meetings. Any recs for west Houston?
  14. Shove your cloak room shit up your ass and fuck off somewhere else with it.
  15. Sorry, no bitches allowed.

    Uh huh.
  17. Worry not lads, according to the rocket surgeons at ESPN, we have a 99.6% chance of winning. For those of you not mathematically inclined, that means we’re almost probably going to claim the victory.
  18. That’s the sign of a mature, well polished qb right there.

Baylor so deserves that loss. Pathetic what they did down the stretch.

Dave Aranda seems like a pussy.
  21. 13-3 in the 4th. Wow. LSU game should be interesting.
  22. Holy shit! There’s nobody at that game! We’re going to see crowd shots of this game for years whenever aggy starts hemming and hawing about their loyalty.

Where can I watch this? Just ESPN plus?
  24. Well lads, my time has come. I’ve known I was an alcoholic for probably ten years. I don’t get crazy or mean but I have to have that fix every night. Attempts of quitting have all failed. I got busted tonight stealth drinking (it’s mostly all stealth drinking at this point) and the only option seems to be in-house treatment. I know the advice I’m looking for is in this thread somewhere but I don’t have the wherewithal to search it out. Any advice? My wife wants me in treatment asap. That’s probably the best thing but I’d like to get past the holidays. Work issues - would be better mid-February. I could keep this up for probably years but it’s time to address it."
