I support sending a clear message to the entire world that you kidnapping a kid, bringing it to the border and then claiming that your spouse is beating the shit out of you is not a method to get into America. You act like we don't have domestic violence here or something. Tell the entire world, STAY THE FUCK OUT.
-
Not letting people into this country illegally is abuse? Go fuck yourself. These people have a country, maybe they should stay there and work to make that one better. The only foreigners that hate America are the ones already here, the rest are apparently, willing to rob, rape and kill to get in. Close the border down, Donald!
-
You seem like a bleeding heart that wouldn't take in a single illegal family but just wants to rant and yell because you hate Trump. Well, get used to Trump, he ain't going anywhere because we want the border closed.
-
Remember when asylum meant people fleeing communist countries? Now, it's anybody with a kid claiming their spouse got doused and went up their head. Get the fuck out with that shit.
-
The shit hole countries were shit holes long before America started buying drugs. Quit giving criminal governments a pass because you hate Trump. Close the fucking border now, close asylum check points now, send all of these people back where they came from and worry more about black and brown Americans and not black and brown non-Americans.
-
Anybody else remember a time in this country when we wouldn't give a fuck what a 20-year old waitress said? Me too and man, do I miss those days. Nothing gets clicks like fake, white racism. It's flies to shit anytime you can find a moron in a country of 330 million people. I guess this is how good we have it in America that something this stupid makes the news, I guess that means you have nothing else to worry about and that everything is just about perfect.

I read that no criminal charges were filed, so did the cops investigate and find no reason to charge anybody? If they can arrest Kobe for unwanted "buttseks" in BFE Colorado, why would a swimmer in B/CS be immune to prosecution?
-
Maybe because of this part. Title IX is a weapon of war on college campuses, especially after police investigate and find no wrong doing occurred.

Clearly, somebody needs to take this R2 unit to Anchorhead and have its memory erased.

Ole Miss Be Dirty -- Journey of a Tier 3 Team in the SEC
TSipper replied to Patrick Bateman's topic in Football
Remember, nothing is ever allowed to challenge the SEC, so of course, satellite camps were decimated. God forbid the NCAA allow black teens to know that America does have states where the Confederate Flag isn't used as pic art for paper plates. Here is the rule update. It limits the time for Football Bowl Subdivision coaches to participate in camps and clinics to 10 days in June and July and requires that the camps take place on a school’s campus or in facilities regularly used by the school for practice or competition. Staff members with football-specific responsibilities are subject to the same restrictions. Just ridiculous how fucking dirty the SEC is. From bagmen handing out casino chips, to 180k in coffee cups, to complaining about their kids leaving the area, the SEC is a cesspool of fuckery. -
This was the absolute perfect movie for the fans who want change: 1) It was much better than expected. (I liked all the characters but I still don't know if this gives Emilia Clarke a post-GoT career.) 2) It will tank just hard enough that it could see the end of Kathleen Kennedy because while better than thought, it's not close to the $1 billion movie they needed it to be.

NY Times got tape of NFL owner-player anthem meeting
TSipper replied to runthebone's topic in Football
Then why hasn't a single player - NFL or NBA - been seen protesting in Sacramento for Stephon Clark? What about Sterling Brown in Milwaukee, a NBA player, how come not a single player has protested outside that police station? Not a single knee for Sterling Brown last night, will they have one tonight or nah? The NBA is all fucking talk and because the national sports media hates the NFL (and Roger Goodell is, admittedly, easy to hate), they are taking shots at the NFL while giving the NBA a pass. Who gives a shit if they are wearing shirts? The NFL has no guaranteed contracts but has taken the lead on this stupid issue whereas the NBA, with huge guaranteed deals, is doing what they always do...sell shoes. Soft players, soft league. -

TSipper replied to runthebone's topic in Football
I think we're giving the NBA too much love. Right now, this entire movement is being carried by NFL players without guaranteed contracts, whereas the NBA players are doing nothing but playing basketball. Soft players, soft league. 1) The NBA shoved the anthem policy up the players' ass in '96. They suspended Muslim Chris Jackson, fined him 32k and let everybody know what the fuck was what moving forward. Not a single player did shit. 2) After the Malice in the Palace, they shoved the dress code up the players' ass and told Allen Iverson to take the prison look back to the hood. Not a single player did shit. 3) When asked about why his players didn't engage in active protesting in Sacramento before a game, here is what Coach SJW says, "You’re serious?” Kerr replied, incredulously, before elaborating in a calm voice. “It’s up to each individual, if he is going to pick his spots to make his contribution to society. I’m very confident and comfortable in my own skin and our players’ lives, what they do for our communities, the way they speak out, the way I speak out. I feel very, very comfortable in what we’ve tried to do. And I’m also very, very serious about my job. I’m coaching the Warriors tonight and we’re kind of busy today. http://www.sacbee.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/article207606104.html Apparently, the Warriors are all talk and NO walk. 4) The reason that the NBA is able to hold hands right now is because they haven't gone through an active CBA negotiation with the current commissioner. The Angel of Stern handled the last one, so Adam Silver comes in with no blood on his hands. That will change in the future, especially once the players see the full accounting for how they've been hosed on foreign TV rights money. Soft players, soft league. -

NY Times got tape of NFL owner-player anthem meeting
TSipper replied to runthebone's topic in Football
Nobody is talking about you, that you don't care simply means you don't care. But the same mouth breathers on the right that get all hot and bothered about the kneeling during the anthem would be the same mouth breathers on the left that would get all hot and bothered by a player holding up an aborted fetus picture. That's why the NFL had to put a stop to this, the opportunity for this to go even further off the rails than it already has was too great. People who are anti-abortion hold up pictures of aborted fetuses all the time to piss of the left. Doing it during the anthem would illicit an immediate reaction that would have drastic consequences to the league, which is what they are trying to avoid. -

That was 1968 America by non-paid athletes at a time when Americans were being drafted to fight a war nobody wanted. Does any of that describe this? -

TSipper replied to runthebone's topic in Football
You don't think it's comparable because you don't support the speech being said. That's my fucking point. It's easy to support speech you agree with, which is what the players are doing. Well, what happens when they don't? How quick will you be to support them then? Or will you want Roger Goodell to be the Hammer of God and put a stop to it? This is why the NFL has to get the players off the field entirely for the anthem. This current solution is not a good one, just get them off the field and play football because eventually, one of them is going to endorse a position in which the liberal media doesn't approve. -

You don't think this image has certain connotations simply b/c it's not a sign? -

You think every NFL play supports abortion? Seriously? So, what if you had a person who also held up a sign saying, "Adam and Eve, no Adam and Steve", would the media be so quick to support a person taking a knee for that reason? Do you think NFL locker rooms are a bastion of liberal, progressive gay acceptance? LOL -

That the media supports protests that it agrees with. If a player on the sideline took and a knee and held up a picture of an aborted fetus because America allows abortion, how would that be received by the same people who believe the players have the right to kneel today? -

TSipper replied to runthebone's topic in Football
The only people who are allowed to kneel are those people who say things that the mass media wants to hear. So, if you're anti-Trump, anti-police, anti-America, anti-whitey, etc, you can say whatever. Now, if you're kneeling because you're against gay marriage or because your latino and you think whitey should go back to Europe and blacky should go back to Africa, then nobody likes you and you should be killed at halftime. Those are the rules, my friend. -

So, it's now the NFL's job to clean up police departments in this country, is that the new argument? Have we elected Roger Goodell President of something and I just missed the memo? The NFL could do more in and around the game to promote the type of change they want, here are three easy ways: 1) Fund 2 graduate assistant positions (1 offense, 1 defense) specifically for Persons of Color at every D-1 school every 2 years. So, 120 schools, 2 each at $50k per is $100k per year for two years or $24 million over two years, which is chicken feed money for the league. Turn the positions over every 2 years and fix the problem of qualified minority coaches at the grass roots level and that will eventually lead to the type of coaching diversity they want. The biggest issue with Grad assistants is having enough money to work for free. The NFL funds two heads and that helps end that problem a great deal. 2) Sponsor BBQs between police and citizens. Sounds cheesy, but the police need to stop seeing citizens as nails and the people need to stop seeing police as hammers. Let's get to know each other. 3) Legalize marijuana for the players and be proactive in fighting the opioid problem both the league and the country have. These are easy steps that would be supported both by players and the public alike. -

I agree, he did. But it's not like he made that money curing cancer. He did it as an entertainer who had a message that a certain, non-football watching segment of society that hates Trump (and Trump has done things to be hated, for sure) and not as a person sleeping on couches in Birmingham. The NFL has the right to do what they did and I believe that as someone who doesn't think they should even have the national anthem before non-National team events. Quick question for all of you who support kneeling, if a player takes a knee and holds up a "God hates Gays" sign protesting the legality of gay marriage in America, would you be OK with that? Would you support that person's right to protest and take a knee? If not, why not? -

TSipper replied to runthebone's topic in Football
So, you believe it's the owners responsibility to provide the players with a platform in which to protest something that the owners and the league have ZERO control over? If that's your standard, do you take a knee before you walk into work everyday in protest of police brutality at your place of business that has ZERO power to change such things? Show me where it says that the NFL is obligated to give the players a platform to do anything on their time and I will agree with you. Right now, the NFL has taken the stance that the players can do whatever they want (see Michael Bennett's racist police rant in Las Vegas that the NFL stood behind despite the fact that he lied) just not on game day. Do you believe the NFL doesn't have the power to regulate what happens on game day? Does your place of business have the power to regulate what happens when you're at work or not? Colin Kaepernick made $43 million dollars playing in the NFL. That's more money than 99.9% of the people in this country will see in their lifetime. He was a nobody coming out of Nevada Reno who used a combination of his personal talent and the NFL's over-importance in this society to create a platform for himself that nobody on this board will ever have. But the NFL is wrong to want to regulate that on game day? Unbelievable. -

I love this bullshit comment that the "players are bringing attention to police brutality." Hey FUCKHEADS, what exactly is Roger Goodell supposed to do about racism in America? Seriously, what the fuck is he supposed to do? Does Goodell have some god-like power that I am not aware of? Is Goodell the person standing between peace, harmony and goodwill towards humanity? That's the biggest issue with this stupid protest, it has no definition of what good looks like. Fewer black people died by police in 2017 than in 2016, is that better? Police numbers are down across the board in this country, is that what good looks like? If you want to protest police, why not use any one of the days in the 7 months you have off to protest at a police station? Did any NFL player protest the Sacramento police shooting? Give me a fucking break. The entire protest is about the person doing it, not the movement. The movement is in Milwaukee where Sterling Brown was unfairly arrested and tased, not on a field while some anthem plays.
