  1. You forgot Patrick and Abbott get flattened by a train as Dan pushes his homie across some tracks.
  2. Reese Bros. Brisket, queso fundido sausage, carnitas, poblano Mac. A+
  3. Layne Staley? Ajax beat me to it. When Would comes up on shuffle, I never, ever skip it.
  4. Hahahaha this happened to my buddy. We went to the Best Buy in south Austin freshman year and he bought the album that just came out by Mr Bungle. We went back to a friend’s dorm and put it on and got a big surprise/let down. But I know people that love them. I honestly haven’t gone back to try again. But man, Angel Dust and King for a Day are monster albums. The most recent one, Sol Invictus, is really good.
  5. Not so humble brag. Also, I was today years old when I found out there is a Marini’s empanadas in Wallis. What the shit?
  6. You like people shooting at you for going 80mph in a 65mph freeway because that is too slow? You do you.
  7. Wallis is beautiful this time of year. Mountains covered in cherry blossoms.
  8. Meh. I understand the sentiment, but I grew up out there and my two brothers and I are all Longhorns.
  9. Pulled from Instagram. Certainly can be built up nice though.
  10. Well if I recall, he thinks Central BBQ in Memphis is good. It’s not.
  11. Use a 12mm lens then correct distortion in photoshop. Make a closet look like a game room.
  12. Interesting about ground clearance. One would have thought the LC would be at least equal to the 4Runner. As for me, my 2021 is halfway to paid off. I doubt I will be replacing it anytime soon. Although dealerships keep pestering me.
  13. Especially in the new era where they create demand. Saw this on reddit, nice comparison:
  14. Maybe that was it. We do have an infestation in this state/site.
  15. 3 courses on the professional putt putt circuit.
  16. I thought we had this discussion before where it seemed like folks along and north of I-20 were calling breakfast tacos burritos. If that’s not the case, good, one less thing to dislike about you southern Oklahomans.
  17. Honestly, I think Patton is one of the greatest. Incredible range as well as creatively using his voice and great stage presence (he is getting older so that has slowed a bit). There are a few videos on YouTube of singers or vocal coaches reacting to him singing and they all are just shocked at what he can do.
  18. Nice. But I don’t think my HOA allows it. Plus, the primary reason for the move is schools.
  19. We don’t. And we are a family of 4. I just need a goddamn study/office.
  20. Awesome backyard and trees. Edit: talking about that listing posted above.
  21. We have some assets in Brazil that we want to sell. It would be a big help towards buying another house here. But with inflation/economy and what not, we are fucked with the exchange rate. Can’t win for losing. 1st world/emerging world problem.
  22. Houston identifier. Don’t say service road either. And while we are on intra-state nomenclature, what the fuck is up with those north Texas jackoffs calling breakfast tacos breakfast burritos?
  23. Exactly. And inside the loop or desirable parts inside the beltway haven’t been “affordable” in the Houston sense in a decade. We are about to start looking in Cypress. Sounds like I am going to develop an ulcer. Great.
  24. There is a lot down there in my field. Unfortunately, most is in Rio where neither of us want to live. If a short term assignment (2 years or so) came up, I think we would go. But honestly, it’s more of a retirement thing. Financially speaking it’s the only way I see retiring at a reasonable age. As this got brought up here, I mentioned it to her and she is 50/50 on the idea. She seems to think we can make it work here but I don’t think she really understands how much we would need to have squirreled away. She is a geneticist. I can’t think of a business she could start in that field. There are certainly a ton of labs down there though.
  25. I should add, part of what I mean is that income is tied to Houston. Both my wife’s job and mine are very Houston-centric. O&G and medical. So finding first, a place we both would like to live and raise a family, second, a place where both of us have a jobs like the ones we have, isn’t so easy.
