  1. I never saw Russell play but more importantly there are quite a few warts on his resume to rule him out IMO. Granted the game was totally different and the off court things were out of his control but that doesnt change my POV. Magic's career was cut short but even in his 12 yrs he went to finals 9 times winning 5 and was the driving force behind the Laker success. That last season he dragged an awful team to the Finals. Go look at that roster.
  2. Correct!!! There are 4 people that have a claim to GOAT IMO. I can listen to arguments for any of them. Magic, Cap, MJ, LBJ. Anyone I'm really not trying to hear.
  3. Malone is about 1500 pts behind. That is one full 82 gm season at 18+/ppg. He avg'd 13 in his last season but even then only played 42 gms. And even if you want to say Malone "almost" did it, he is one guy in the history of the league. Kobe is next but he is almost 5k behind Kareem. None of the other guys who "got close" were still top players in the league when they did. LBJ is still at the absolute worse top 10 player and still going strong. He should with relative ease get to 40k Further, if its just cause of guys entering the league at 18 with current medicine and training why is no one else even close? Melo and Durant are the only other active players in the top 30. they are 10k and 12k behind LBJ respectively. There is a reason this record lasted for almost 40 yrs.
  4. Wack basketball fans nowadays. You shouldn't need to be a fan of LBJ to truly appreciate him passing Kareem. That was one of the most unbreakable records out there and he will not only pass it but barring a major injury, obliterate it. He will finish 2-3k beyond Kareem maybe more as he isnt even really slowing down yet.
  5. 3 first round picks for OG is seriously stupid
  6. Nah, fuck that. When the refs are so blatantly wrong the last thing they need to do is double down and call a tech.
  7. While I do think they players are incredibly skilled I think they have changed the related to defense which has effectively neutered defenders. Particularly on jump shooters. You basically cannot contest a jumper. If you get anywhere near them its a foul, especially if they fall (whether they were actually touched or not). That said, this season has been great. There is a level of parity even though its all high level play. Usually when there is parity its because almost all teams are equally average. That isnt the case this yr.
  8. Correct! He is the livest of live bodies. Always around the basket making things happen.
  9. Only thing he does that impresses me is how many dumbass shots he takes and idiotic fouls he commits.
  10. May as well. At least he might have got his money's worth for the ejection/fine.
  11. Nah, calling JR stupid to his face is different than throwing your mouthpiece into the crowd. Only one gets you kicked out of the game.
  12. He's been playing with Poole for how many yrs now? He knows what the kid is gonna do as much as anyone or at least he should. Regardless, throwing his mouthpiece is never excusable. Its fucking disgusting without even mentioning how the bitchassness of it.
  13. Steph is too good and intelligent to be acting like a 14 yo lil dribbler. Whats worse is all these idiots out here blaming the ref for tossing him. Or a few blaming it on Poole. Stop acting like a bitch!!
  14. He was at Ja's house, with Ja and his friends. He's lucky that's all he got and he is only suing cause Ja has money. He knows if he does that shit on any court he is subject to get his ass kicked. Thems the rules
  15. Man I couldnt have been more wrong on the Mitchell move. He gives CLE exactly what they needed. 71 on that shooting percentage while still managing to get 11 asts is incredible.
  16. The Trae Young stuff is pretty wild. Why does he think his team hasn't made "inroads"?? He isn't playin very well and his style makes a team wholly dependent on him playing well. They brought in Dejounte to get him off the ball more and protect him on defense and it hasnt worked as well as they hoped.
  17. Yep, they managed to put together some pretty good pieces with Bol, Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs and Wendell Carter. Even Fultz and Bamba are looking better now that they are not being relied on to be top level guys and can just fill roles.
  18. With Blake Griffin and Tristan at the 4/5??? In 2022???? Maaaaaaannnnnnnnn, hell naw
  19. Klay shouldn't even get that worked up over him. Just tell him to "watch out for those double teams" and keep stepping
  20. Wait the dude that was whining about getting double teamed in summer pickup is a trash talker?
  21. I get the idea. Just think this starts an interesting precedent.
  22. The other pics from warmup showed his shot looks exactly like that. More importantly, the result is not the point. The form is the point. If he shot differently when playing then I could see your point that he was just playing around. He is at a point where his form needs to be rebuilt and he is reinforcing that form in every single thing he does and the way down to shooting a wad of paper into a basket.
  23. Its outrageous man. Elbow out, ball goes exactly where its pointing. Cant believe we are 6 yrs in and he is still shooting like that.
