  1. This and when they did the same for Isaiah Austin a few yrs back was pure class
  2. The KCP move will hurt the most IMO. He defended the best wing players and did a decent job. He also didn't demand the ball but hit big time shots when they needed him to do so. Harrell never really fit honestly and Kuzma seems to be a little slow in the head. While I dont necessarily mind the Lakers getting Russ as it does take some wear off LBJ during the reg season, giving that package up to get him when they could've been used to get more is the problem for me. Its pretty clear LBJ convinced them to say fuck the tax and they will spend as much as they want. I suspect they will S&T Schoeder (maybe for Derozen) for another relatively big salary player, use their MLE and then fill the roster out with vet guys trying to get a ring. It will be interesting to see how it works out.
  3. The night is VERY young neither of them could be Cavs by the end of the night.
  4. Morey really is acting like the whole world got hit with one of these a couple months ago
  5. Its WAY more than they should have got for a guy they clearly didnt want. And they can use all of those guys to make other deals. And if they really are on Simmons for Beal this clears the way for that too. EDIT: And if you think about it further they got out of what was supposed to be an untradeable contract in John Wall and turned it into multiple guys with tradeable deals and a 1st tonight. I bet the WAS GM couldn't accept that offer fast enough.
  6. In a few weeks he will be coming with that Ainge shit about how close they were to getting something done.
  7. We were both just saying that Russ wouldn't be in WAS much longer. I knew the Lakers were going to be big name hunting but that is a lot to give up for a guy that WAS pretty clearly wanted out of anyway.
  8. Thats been the persistent rumor that he doesnt work on his game so its definitely possible. He's prolly been somewhere laid up with her: And I cannot be totally mad at that.
  9. Not so much. Fans are fickle. If he actually works on his game and comes out playing well next yr all will be forgiven.........until he stinks again of course
  10. Morey is really wilding. Its like he thinks no one watched the playoffs or that the whole world has amnesia. And I like Simmons. A LOT!
  11. I dont really get why DAL would need him anyway. He's not going to have the ball and that would be the way for him to be most effective.
  12. Yeah, this really seems to be teams thinking he will bring a CP3 impact to their team. Which is wild cause I would have serious reservations giving CP3 that kinda contract at his age so I damn sure wouldn't be anxious to do it for the knock-off version of CP3
  13. I hope this wont be one of those "points of emphasis" that they completely forget about by mid-season.
  14. #1 picks still get so overvalued these days. Even though there are fewer and fewer sure fire guys at the top now. I like Cade but I'm in no way convinced he will be even as good as SGA is right now The ONLY argument I can see for DET turning it down is they would have to pay SGA now and they are not in the point of their rebuild to pay a player star money. EDIT: I could also see DET not wanting to go all the way down to 6. Like if they could move back to 2 or 3 and still get one of the guys at which they've been looking.
  15. This is fucking nuts. I've come to respect Fuck Kyle Lowry a bit more in the last couple yrs but in no way is he worth 25-30/yr at his age but if he gets it more power to him. Typical Timberwolf shit. Draft a guy top 6, dump him two yrs later for a 2nd. They are truly lucky NBA teams dont get relegated to minor leagues.
