  1. There has to be a gazebo involved somewhere in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. We sorta stormed the field for the first of Gardere's wins over OU. We hadn't beaten them for a while, if I recall correctly. We were on the first row, so it easy.
  3. Marinade a large boneless, butterflied rack of lamb overnight in plain Greek yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, and rosemary (salt and pepper to taste). When you ready, wipe off most of the yogurt. It'll be ready to throw over fire, or a grill or just in the oven. Because it is boneless and butterflied, it won't take too long to cook. At dinner, carve and serve with an easy tzatziki, warm pita, maybe a tomato salad, roasted potatoes or whatever turns you on. Elegant, easy and different. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/grilled-leg-of-lamb-recipe-1940278
  4. Great news. She is beauty! As she gets confident, she will get a bit rambunctious, but it looks like she is off to a great start. The rescue group should provide training tips if anything comes up. @Updawg is right: walks, exercise and socializing. Think about a day care visit once or twice a week. They come home exhausted and happy from a day of play.
  5. The picture incident was just one symptom of a much bigger issue in Colleyville and suburbs and towns like it. Probably not a discussion for this board. black-principal-on-leave-as-anti-critical-race-theory-law-takes-effect
  6. After these very public and entirely shameless events, they might as well put out a sign at all the entrances to the town.
  7. The peaches and cream shake is legit. That is all.
  8. Yes, the stock is taxed as compensation as it is delivered (when it vests).
  9. This only applies in certain areas near the shoreline (beach property) and along the border. In the interior, you can own in the equivalent of fee simple, with all the same ownership rights of Mexican nationals. The trust for properties in the restricted zones are for 50 years, I think.
  10. My advice: find a rescue (even a breed specific rescue if breed is essential) with a good fostering program. You can learn about the dog from his fostering experience (good with kids, good with cats, can't be left alone, needs lots of exercise, etc.)
  11. This is not to assign blame to the airlines or the crew, but I do think they could do one little thing better that may help. On AA, the flight attendants come on and say things like "help us comply with the federal mask mandate" or "we ask that you keep your mask on....", with a reference to FAA rules. On one flight, the FA actually said "we don't like it any more than you do". It's a very soft approach to communicating this particular requirement. I think the pilot should come on right before the door closes (or the purser if there is no time in the pilot's pre-flight routine). He or she should say something to the effect that everyone is required to comply with crew instructions, including the mask requirement which is intended to keep everyone sage and healthy. If you don't comply with crew instructions, you will be reported to the FAA and be subject to fines. We may return to the gate, divert the flight or have the flight met by law enforcement officials. If you interfere with the crew or behave inappropriate with your fellow passengers, you may also be subject to criminal charges. You will be banned from flying with us ever again, lose any frequent flying miles you may have and lose all elite status on this airline. If you don't intent to comply with crew instructions or intend to play games with us like sipping on your water to keep your mask off, you must get off the plane now. This is your last chance. Are we clear?"

Rebranding Canton Hall too. I admit to only being there for a few shows and nothing memorable, so perhaps I don't have the emotional attachment to the name, but social media is freaking out about a private business rebranding to suit whatever its business needs may be.
  14. I don't believe that will work, but it may depend on the airline. American Airlines expressly states, even in the announcements, that gaiters, buffs and bandanas are not acceptable. They have regular masks for you if that's all you have. The announcement does refer to them as "douchey bro buffs". Makes me laugh every time.
  15. The Q-Suite and on-demand dining, makes Qatar my choice (when I have one) out of Dallas to India. It's amazing. That being said, I am perfectly fine in the AA business class pod. I don't care how "fancy" service can be, business class in traditional seats with a configuration that is not all aisle access is a loser (looking at you Emirates)
  16. It's definitely a thing, especially entitled parents who don't plan ahead.
  17. Maybe but the Daou Rosé is pretty much the only Rosé I drink. Just great. Especially now. And it is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. It was perfect. I went to the vineyard in May and they told me the Alex 97’s were looking to be solid until ‘25. But I thought it was time. And it was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. The first day $20 does not only apply to bartenders, but to the pool and beach concierges too. They will find good chairs, umbrellas, and set you up, bring you water, etc. Everyone else is standing around and hoping to find a chair in the back.
  20. No more waiting for special occasions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Start with $20s for the pool and beach concierge and the first round of the server. They will take care of you.
  22. Flour tortilla with a hot dog and a stick of celery. Still a fun snack for me.
  23. On Jefferson (at Bishop, so Bishop Arts adjacent) there is coffee shop called Xaman Cafe. They do some interesting Mexican takes on coffees and breakfast. I look forward to trying it out for that. The menu looks great. But, dinner last night was at the speakeasy behind the wooden door after you get past the coffee shop: Ayahuasca Cantina. This is not a chips and salsa Mexican food place. The cocktail is list is incredibly curated and includes a list of just Sotol based cocktails. The food menu includes insects (chapulin (roasted grasshoppers), gusano de maguey (mezcal worm). alacran (scorpion)). Pretty aggressive stuff and not for the grilled chicken Caesar salad crowd. The cantina is dimly lit and oh so hip. But the experience delivers. Great hospitality and service. We loved it. We had Squash blossoms stuffed with rabbit, sopes with ribeye, carnitas and rabbit. A sous vide duck breast with a pepitas salsa verde and a cow femur with marrow and chopped ribeye (presented flaming!). All with the best tortillas I have had in a long time. The menu has some chicken en mole tacos, boar ribs, and pork confit too. All sounded good. The only downside (other than paper napkins) was that their supply chain failed and there was no red wine available. They only offer Mexican wines. Like I said, this place is highly curated. Instead we had something that I have never had, a white wine that is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Coahuila. I didn’t know this existed. But it was good and filled in well. We will definitely walk back to this place. An excellent addition to the neighborhood and walkable from our house. https://www.xamancafe.com/menu https://www.xamancafe.com/ayahuasca
  24. One when I went to visit my parents for the first time relatively early in the pandemic and a second one when we came back from Mexico a couple of weeks ago (handled really nicely at the hotel)
