We just did Loveland over NYE. My biggest tip is to rent ski equipment in Denver and bring it with you. It'll be significantly cheaper and you can start skiing immediately. We skied 3 days and rented from the onsite shop. The wait to pick up gear ranged from 90 minutes to 3 hours.
We also did one 1/2 day lesson through Loveland. That was not enough. 2 full days would've been great. I would recommend a private instructor and you can find them easily on Facebook. I would guess it'd be cheaper also.
Also, leave Denver at 6am if you are driving to Loveland each day. Traffic is no joke. We left at 9am on one day and at noon we turned around because we'd only gone 2/3 of the way.
For clothes, call this lady, she buys up old new stock and worn once ski gear and sells it like 75% off. Another good spot is Ebay. I got a brand new Mountain Hardwear bibs with tags still on them for $100 and retail was $300. I also got a new Helly Hansen ski jacket for $150 ($450 retail). It all came in REI mylar bags so I wonder if it was stolen by REI staff.
Two years ago, I started using FreeTaxUSA. It can handle my taxes fine…W2s, capital gains, etc. It even handled a situation that TurboTax couldn’t when my daughter sold stock to buy a car but the sale had to be taxed at my tax rate since she was a minor with a custodial brokerage account. I don’t qualify for the free tier but it only costs like $12 to file your taxes using it.
LOFL. You’d better cancel your divorce and start knocking up your side pieces if you want highway funding. DOT funds will prioritize communities with high marriage and birth rates. https://www.reddit.com/r/civilengineering/s/oCX7x5tEYv
I couldn't finish my list initially because I was giving to much deference to old music. So, I just went with songs I revisit the most often.

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Roky Erickson - A Cold Night for Alligators
Matthew Sweet - Girlfriend
Pearl Jam - Alive
Bernard Butler - I'd Do It Again If I Could

PJ Harvey - A Place Called Home
The Cure - From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea
Refused - New Noise
Picked up 4 tickets for NIN in Denver at $140 each. 2nd row in the mezzanine. We can go up a few days before moving Junior Brown to college on the next Monday and it’ll be Lil’ Brown’s first NIN experience.
100% bots ran by Ticketmaster.
I was able to buy NIN at Red Rocks in '22 later the same day for both dates and that was when they actually did big in-person presales to prevent scalpers. So, now a venue 2X the size is legitimately selling out in 20 minutes. Riiigggghhhttt.
Only if you actually payout. The email was a cut and paste from the email Musk sent Twitter staff and he never paid out a cent of that severance. I also read that Senator Kaine posted not to accept it because there’s no money allocated for it so there’s no mechanism to make the payments even if they wanted to.
Destroy the country so the oligarchs can buy up the remains for pennies on the dollar. Who gives a fuck when you can live on a $200M yacht off the coast of Greece.
It'll go to the SC who will rule in favor of the President having spending authority. Without spending authority, Congress is no longer necessary. Think of all the money saved by eliminating Congress!
