  1. Horrible takes. This is clearly not the law in Texas.
  2. Exactly. Open carry in anything other than a rural area or on ones own premises is stupid. It invites confrontation and gives away tactical advantage. Also so many of these mall cop types fail to realize that even in the case of justified deadly force as against an attacker, it is no justification at all to innocent bystanders.
  3. Agreed. You’re crawfishing now. but I agree with your statement In this case
  4. My statement of the law remains true, yours may not be under limited circumstances It’s comsidered an aggravated assault for which deadly force may be used in defense of self or another Did he? Maybe. Maybe not. The question is probably better phrased as did he assault Garrett? While Garrett may be able to use force, or deadly force, to protect himself, that does not appear to be the case as he was to the side of the vehicle. Did he have a reasonable belief that his use of force (the production of a firearm) was immediately necessary to protect another? Or is he just rolling up on a driver surrounded by protesters banging on the car with an AK at low ready, at best? Exactly. You see what burnt eyes cannot see. Imagine the church shooter fleeing the church. Ch 9 of the Penal Code could justify deadly force without the “Good Samaritan” being personally threatened. Which is exactly what happened. And 9.51 clearly does do for the police. Exactly. Provocation is the word you are looking for and it’s has a specific meaning under the law that’s is submitted in the jury charge. It’s calculated and intentitional for the purpose of claiming self defense. Not just a guy said fuck you first. It means more than that.
  5. Actually, in limited circumstances you could. So can law enforcement
  6. Looks like Garrett found the trouble he was looking for.
  7. Jesus. That’s not a low speed collision. Doesn’t look like speed that would be appropriate for making a turn into the Sanctuary, either. I’m thinking the tox report of the driver might be probative.
  8. It sure is easy to lose your bearings. I run early and late in the dark but only on a previously run recent track, with a light, and at the slowest speed my boat can plane out. I highly recommend the Motion X app as it has many choices of aerial photo “layovers” that aid navigation at night greatly.
  9. Do you have pics or can you describe the boat? I saw an SCB operating in a questionable manner in POC on 7/17
  10. SCB running the ICW at midnight ran into the wall at Sanctuary, one dead multiple hurt.
  11. Patricia rep’d the McCarty boys on charges heavier than a theft by check and the like.
  12. Do it. I was wading a bar along the ship channel with my buddy and our kids. A small but powerful storm was rolling up on us. We were catching some nice trout so I was not using my best judgment. We jumped back in the boat at the last minute, took off trying to outrun the storm but could not. The kids were hiding underneath the console and I was running toward what I thought was SPI. It was so bad I could not see and we were getting pelted with the heavy rain. I completely lost my bearings and after 10 minutes of trying to get out of the storm, I ended up running the boat up on the same bar we were fishing before. A perfect circle. The storm blew thru and we got back out and caught some more trout.
  13. Yeah, well I cracked that case on Monday. Good job, FBI
  14. 300/300 tough quiz, prolly got a little lucky
  15. When I saw Dailey testify....to me, that's like blood in the water to a shark. I wanted some of that so bad. It's inexplicable. She left so much meat on the bone. Also, the lady expert....I'd hit that.
  16. ABC is reporting authorities found a FedEx package addressed to Salas in the car.
  17. Per the usual, Surly solves crimes before the detectives working in shifts https://www.spectator.com.au/2020/07/who-killed-red-pill-lawyer-marc-angelucci-and-why/ On the Saturday before last, July 11, just before 4 pm, my dear and wonderful friend Marc Angelucci was at his home in Glenwood Drive, Cedar Pines Park, California with friends. There was a knock at the door. One of his friends’ answered, but the delivery man said he had a package that Angelucci needed to sign for. Marc went to the door. Shots were fired. A car sped away. His friends called for help. Paramedics arrived. Angelucci was pronounced dead at the scene. On a Saturday afternoon, at his own front door, formidable lawyer Marc Angelucci, 52, was murdered.
  18. Hollander comes under scrutiny a week after the violent death of another prominent men’s rights figure—Marc Angelucci, an attorney who worked on similar cases to Hollander and who was shot dead at his house. The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office said Monday that no arrests have been made in Angelucci’s death. For years, Hollander has been filing suits alleging that women get unconstitutional special treatment and pushing to outlaw Ladies’ Nights at bars and women’s studies programs at universities. According to his website, it appears his foray in the men’s rights movement was sparked by his marriage to a Russian woman he met while working for the investigative firm Kroll Associates in the late 1990s; he alleges she was really a prostitute who swindled him. In 2016, he also filed a ludicrous suit against reporters from CBS News, NBC News, ABC News, CNN, PBS News Hour, The New York Times and The Washington Post, claiming their stories on President Trump amounted to a violation of the anti-racketeering statute used to prosecute mobsters. sounds like he may be good for two murders
  19. Can you bring me a couple cases of Yeungling Light on the way back?
  20. Just use nice beach umbrellas. We have big canvas ones that have a heavy duty PVC anchor and I dig them in with a mini shovel, they are so much easier than a canopy. We had quite a few folks down there with us and we set up 4 umbrellas on the front row at 9ish every day. Once the cops did come make us move them because they were, I shit you not, 13 and one half feet apart, from edge to edge, and it was measured with a tape measure. I was trying not to cock block 80 feet of beach front row but no good deed goes unpunished. We tried to keep it 2 people per umbrella but many times had far more than that and didn't get a talking to.
  21. Cut em off near the pass in a pre-dawn wade and then finished then off in the surf. A couple got bit in half before we could boat them. It’s laying down fellas, now is the time to go get them.
