  1. I think we were in on him early before everyone else (or maybe it was Juan Davis i.e. Katfid)... typically when we're in on a guy 1st it works out. I would be surprised if aggy had the lead on him..
  2. Nope and it doesn't appear that he's visited according to the 24/7 timeline. I guess he's not worth our staff's time. https://247sports.com/Player/Dematrius-Davis-46042948/TimelineEvents/
  3. Well none of our current commits, minus Davis, are outside the top 20 of their position according to 24/7. I know that will change but keep loading up. Doesn’t hurt to be #2 in the rankings 1.5 years out.
  4. These guys have all been pretty much no-brainers except for Davis, as well.

  6. North Shore and had zero interest in anything outside of the SECSECSEC. Apparently really wants to play with Demetrious Davis, and he won't be coming here either.
  7. QB's usually commit early and that's been the case since Herman has been here. Davis is probably the top WR in-state next year. No way you say no to someone like Bowman. The staff wasn't going to say no to Conner.
  8. Other movers: Donovan Jackson up 22 Marcus Burris up 22 Milroe up 10 Adeleye down 22 Q. Davis down 9 Jordon Thomas down 32 Ibraheem up 46 Earle up 56 Stowers down 12 Neville up 58 Conner down 26
  9. https://texas.thefootballbrainiacs.com/2019/07/open-post-tuesday-july-30th/ Darius Terrell with Juan Davis commit analysis in today's Open Post.
  10. 3 TE in 2021 seems like a stretch. Maybe Juan Davis will stick at WR?
  11. and herman’s offense wants multiple TE. if we don’t take anyone in 2020 I hope mcree and davis are great players.
  12. I just do not see it with Davis. At least this far out taking his commitment. He is a total project and the kind of guy we should be able to circle back on. You can watch his camp video and easily conclude he isn’t going to play WR at Texas. For those of you throwing out LJH comparisons I’m as likely to replace LJH as this guy is. He so awkwardly runs routes he trips over his own feet every third or fourth time. The only position he is going to be able to legitimately play is tight end once he is done growing and there is absolutely no film of him playing his likely position. What did Texas coaches see to take him now in a class where spots are already filling up?
  13. Apparently Texas views Juan Davis as a pure ATH take.
  14. Here’s the Rivals Prime 21 WR v DBs. Includes Quay and Juan Davis, JD Coffey, Ibraheem, Bowman, and Campbell. Juan Davis definitely looks big and has solid hands. Reminds me of Duvernay in that regard @Katfid54 Ibraheem looks impressive and has good size and physicality considering he’s still going to fill out a lot. Bowman looks pretty good too. unsurprisingly, LBers can’t cover Campbell.
  15. So we have davis and one outstanding Shh, is that correct?
  16. https://texas.thefootballbrainiacs.com/2019/07/open-post-weekend-july-26th-28th/ TFB Open Post. WR recruiting, Juan Davis notes, Hayden Conner analysis, and visitors.
  17. Quay is already in, you're thinking of Juan
  18. CTJ said "Big news going to continue for 2021 today and this weekend. " and that Juan Davis was likely this weekend. So, another '21 left for today who's not Davis. Looks like we'll be fostering Aggy's trail of tears today, and then into the weekend.
  19. Regarding Juan Davis, here is some info to get excited about from someone who has worked with him lately: Unbelievable hands. Elite level. Catches the back of the ball. 6’2.5”, 207 - decently fast. There will be LJH comparisons, but he’s not that level of smooth as an athlete. Probably better hands. He thinks he’s a WR and will be recruited as such to get him in the fold. Maybe that winds up being the case as a player, but could be an elite H-Back/Flex TE type. Frame does not project to inline TE. Services will again struggle to appropriately rank him, but Herman’s team values hybrids and sees it as a Moneyball void in the way services rank and other programs think about talent at numerous spots. OU on offense being similar in thinking, unfortunately. That approach for UT also impacts LB/NB/Joker/S and is something the boards don’t follow well yet, any differently than the services. FWIW.
  20. Any film watchers have an opinion about Neville? How's he compare to Davis for example.
  21. So this offensive class looks very doable right now. Milroe 2 of Johnson, Wheaton, and Campbell Davis(Z), Earle(H), Neville(X) McRee(Y), Davis(TE) Brock(LT), Conner(LG), Brock(C), Foster(RG), Byrd(RT) Bowman(ATH)
