  1. What about evil Tulpa Cooper? And I could maybe see Dougie Jones somehow lucking his way into a win there with a little help from... whatever the hell was going on there
  2. Eason signs for under 25 or waits until next year. Win win for the rockets
  3. Also have to keep in mind we have one of, if not the most, stacked and deep rosters in the country right now with not a ton of seniors/4th year guys. Guys like Goosby may go pro after the season, but they just as easily could not if they don't have the 1st round grade type of season. Sark has to budget for keeping the team he wants after this season, and that should be almost everyone. Most of the transfers he brought in are 2 year guys too unless they just blow up this season. He's stacking the DL and is on the verge of stacking the OL if he lands Ojo and Turntine. The rest will fall into place later, but these guys right now are "shoot your shots" kind of recruits. Freaking out now acting like we have aggy or sooner roster is just dumb.
  4. So how did we get Terry? I'm genuinely curious. Do they make exceptions if they think someone is a can't miss prospect?
  5. half way point and day off tomorrow what's your ONE biggest surprise of the first half, go .... the quality of the pitchers that had to step up when 3 opening day staters were lost for the season. unreal
  6. Nah, keeping my opinions to myself isn’t strange. Voicing them as validation, propaganda, or for arguing or friendship seems strange to me. Done making statements that fall on deaf ears, though so you and foosters win. Enjoy and let me know when something happens with the US, Iran, and Israel.
  7. We’ve got a few posters here that might go pro(lapse)…unless recruiting picks back up.
  8. Not an overpay on Jabari, but they didn't get him under slot. This stuff adds up especially when Amen is going to get a rookie supermax. His arrow needs to keep pointing up.
  9. None of this has been news for days. Go through the last 3 days of posts and tell me what you have learned, that there are pro-Hamas, anti-Hamas, pro-Israel, anti-Israel, antisemites, Iranians, and Jews on this thread and in this world. I've known that for a long time. If you want to argue with enemies or get validation from friends, the cloak room is the place. I don't need or have a need for either so I have always stayed away. The problem is that a lot of people have gotten bored over there for reasons and have spent a lot of time lowering the IQ of this board.
  10. Don't know anything about him but on board with him hopefully using "Wes Is Moore".
  11. Editing: I wish everybody were well adjusted and able to laugh at each other, and not losing protections or rights over anything. I'm being sensitive because people are suffering and I just don't want to add to their misery. Thanks for being a Dem--we need all the folks we can get.
  12. Saban got a “Saban discount” for players going to Alabama for years. We don’t have the track record to sell that yet…but we’re pretty close. Put double digits into the draft again this season and that is a sales pitch. That being said that might be a hell of a task this year. Muhammad, taffe, Hill, goosby, the transfer TE, who else?
  13. Great weekend in Fredericksburg. Lonestar Cabins was great even though we didn't use the kitchen. It was nice on the back porch in the mornings looking at some Barron Creek grapes and wildlife. Had an armadillo come and visit this morning too. Ate at Altstadt and Auslander for German fare, but NoName can be trusted with his recommendations...Woerner Cafe, Alla Campagna, and Prometheus were all excellent. A lonestar red in Luckenbach capped it all off nicely.
  14. Seems like a good deal for Jabari. It's a little overpay for what he is right now, but with the way the cap will grow the next 5 years, and what we hope he develops into as a player, it should be a good deal. Or maybe it just becomes another trade chip next offseason like Jalen Green's extension did this year. Either way, that's a win for the team, and it guarantees Jabari is set for life if he's smart with his money. Can't blame anyone for doing that. Now extend KD for 1-2 years at a reasonable rate, and we are golden.
  15. Aren't you full of questions on this issue. I never contended anything. You brought up prevention. We are all ears (or eyes, as the case may be).
  16. At what point ($) does a player not pay attention to a money amount and just say, “fuck it….I’m going to Texas”, even if they don’t get paid as much as another school offered? Even if they don’t get the up-front $$$, what’s the premium that being at Texas gives them, in the long run, potentially? Hope that makes sense.
  17. DHS interim director of Center for Preventative Programs and Partnerships, a 22 year old UTSA grad https://www.chron.com/politics/article/thomas-fugate-homeland-security-20391603.php We should all feel much safer now.
  18. Zzzzzzz. Lame. In the manner of Marc Maron, y’all won. Are we there yet though? Are the jokes funnier now that you can say gay and retarded again? I’m still waiting for the coming hilarity. It’s going to be great now that we’re no longer held back by slurs.
  19. It won't make a dent in "not going broke" but it will fuck most Americans sideways to do so.
  20. When I said that on Friday I about got run out on a rail. I guess we hit a consensus tipping point. I still believe that we will get some flips and that in the end all will be right and good, but yeah it does suck to be second place over and over again.
  21. Yeah. That’s what it is now, too. We just maintain an absurd fiction that it’s actually a pension when, in reality, it’s UBI for old people. The goal was to prevent poverty and elderly indigence. So let’s just do that and not go broke.
  22. Grrrrr... I'm a bit behind and there is information in this that will potentially have a tangential effect on me because greedy bastards voted trump 'for the economy'. I'm gonna need to go find some leopard owners and kick them in the balls.
  23. It was definitely gallows humor. It's an interesting dynamic when surly says we shouldn't be surly. I don't have a problem with those who put their lives on the line in service of others. Firefighters definitely fit that bill. I view the shooter as an absolute coward, among other things.
  24. a few observations from today, without reading any of today's posts 1. I don't remember the last time I saw such great accuracy on the drives from the top contenders. wow. 2. As awesome as these guys are, NONE of them can come remotely close to holding Jack Nicklaus' putting glove, especially wrt getting the ball to the hole on a putt. It was almost comical at a couple of points. Ironically the man who did the best job of the three at getting the ball to the hole did not win. Greyserman. 3. I like the sudden death playoff, but why the strange choice of holes? I say start on a number, either 15 or 16, and go from there to 18, and most playoffs will be done by then. Today was the exception of course. After 15 through 18 for example, then go back one, 14 through 18. etc. Has the PGA ever been in such great shape before? I don't think so.
  25. I thought this was the movies we are ashamed of that we like. This was great. So was sweet home Alabama and I'm not ashamed at all.
