  1. And we, alumni and fans, didn’t directly have anything to with it. He chose to part ways with Aggy and come to Texas. Them directing their venom at us is delicious. How long will this incredible Schlossenfreude last?
  2. Wow, look at that! Even more arrests with charges getting dropped because the cops were just out there to silence speech that abbott didn't like https://www.texastribune.org/2024/06/26/university-of-texas-protesters-79-charges-dropped/ Criminal charges were dropped against 79 people arrested at a pro-Palestinian demonstration at the University of Texas at Austin on April 29. Travis County Attorney Delia Garza announced the charges would be dismissed at a press conference on Wednesday. The protesters were charged with criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor. Although the arrests met the initial requirements for probable cause, the County Attorney’s Office could not meet their legal burden to prove these charges beyond a reasonable doubt, Garza said. ... The police crackdowns on pro-Palestinian protests on April 24 and April 29 at the University of Texas at Austin are part of a larger wave of law enforcement and university administrators responding to pro-Palestinian demonstrations on college campuses across the country. Gov. Greg Abbott and other state leaders lauded the arrests, calling the protests “hate-filled and anti-semitic.” Abbott ordered the Department of Public Safety to help UT-Austin police crack down on the protests. “The decisions that were made in response to these protests continue to show, as I’ve said before, the severe lack of leadership we expect from our leaders, as they continue to prioritize extreme government overreach over actual public safety,” Garza said.
  3. Very happy with the Reed Sheppard pick. This kid is a baller. So current 10 man rotation looks like FVV/Jalen/Brooks/Jabari/Sengun with Amen/Sheppard/Cam/Tari/Steven Adams, right? IMO Dillon Brooks is the expendable player here. If we don't get the best version of him, his minutes need to decrease significantly. I'd be happy if we could trade him.
  4. I'm going to hell for laughing at this
  5. I read that there is going to be a big purge at the beginning to thin the ranks.
  6. Through the first third of our trip... sitting on a balcony now listening to the cicadas. The beach yesterday (below) was quiet and we opted to eat on our terrace for dinner instead of going out. In six days, we've heard two Americans here. I really want this area to stay a secret but trust me the experience in these kinds of towns in Italy is something else. Most we've spent on a meal as a family of four has been 120 Euros and it was a random stop that turned out to be fine dining. Will share more later. As for driving, still love it but we took a drive into a national park for a little hike and lunch. Temperatures from the sea to the forest were about 15° cooler. I've driven all kinds of windy roads in Italy but I almost never drove a straight stretch of road for 2 1/2 hours. Wish I'd had an Alfa. One section was the tightest steep road I'd ever seen outside of a Greek island. Another stretch was almost cow pinball. White knuckle driving.
  7. Naaaawww dog. His speech today was written for him by a team of communication experts. It was all rehearsed. What you saw yesterday was the real dude. And he fucked it all up. Now, I don’t give a fuck about it because he’s gonna win a fuck ton of baseball games. But let’s not start jerking the dude off because he stuck to the cue cards. He flubbed the press conference yesterday. But it doesn’t matter because LOL Aggy.
  8. Geez. We hired a baseball coach. These pathetic drama queens make it sound like we betrayed Christ.
  9. I talked to an aggy today and asked why my premiums keep going up.
  10. javy, rizzo, and bryant were the young core of the 2016 world series winning cubs. they’ve all been bad since ~2018. i don’t ever remember seeing a young core of all stars/mvp candidates (and a winner) get so bad, so fast.
  11. Isaac Chroner, "We worship he, who walks behind the ruses. He wants you too, Malachai!"
  12. A thought Having said that, good show. It's a good reminder that every decision we make at each moment is within our control and can lead to a different reality. It makes me wonder why I waste so much time on this goddamned site.
  13. Let's talk about pitching. Do we want to poach any aggy pitchers? Can our new staff help develop what we already have? I'm sure we'll be working the portal and recruiting like a mofo but just curious.
  14. We had several big dogs growing up that ate nothing but Ol' Roy. They all lived into their teens. They all also lived exclusively outside and slept in the garage. We had a hidden doggy door that went from the back corner of the garage to our back porch and was obscured by a garden table. The only time they came inside was if it was freezing or super hot, or if there were fireworks going off. This blows my wife's mind who only grew up with inside pets. Biscuit is a spoiled ass bitch. He won't eat anything but FreshPet. Luckily he's 16 lbs so it costs us like 10 bucks a week.
  15. I have a feeling Laviolette will go to LSU but I'll be glad to be wrong.
  16. From that article: "He’s gone now because that’s what coaches do." No. He's gone because that's what WE ALL do. America is the land of opportunity. We're taught from a young age to chase our dreams, that with hard work and dedication and diligence we can get our dream job. That's what ALL OF US do and that's exactly what Schlossnagle did. He went after a better job in a better place for more money. That's the American way, and if you don't like it, you hate America.
  17. Laviolette is going to be a tough battle with LSU.
  18. Got back from the hoa pool late in the evening yesterday so I fired up so frito chili pie for the wife and kids and what have ya. Well we ran out of Fritos before old man deft could get a bowl so I fired up the air fryer with some taters and went all shank mode.
  19. Maybe Mae is going to reunite him with her horn head mommy and they'll end up together in the end! The fights were pretty kickass. I expected a lot of deaths but not the two that were the most shocking. Took some balls to do that. And I feel like this guy isn't a Sith, he's the original Ren. The armor was well done. Still would be nice to know how he snuck up on the Wookie. I guess a story for a different time.
  20. We did the next down level at PA last year and I feel like it was pretty good deal in comparison thought the private dipping pool would be nice. We had 5 nights in one of the upper beach facing suites with the whole big deck hot tub shebang and it was right around $2400 I think. We’re doing PVR and flying out on the 5th. If we decide to instead go next year back to IM, I’ll probably go rooftop with PA.

  22. Somebody mentioned me? What’s going on?
  23. Getting O’Connor would be nice but I doubt he’s going to leave. With the remaining 3 I bet Vaughan would be their best choice. lol if they end up with Heefner. Gasparino is playing 1B before Kimble.
  24. Our spring rains brought Travis up a little and it’s currently at 40.9% full. The bigger news is that Buchanan went from 46% full to 77% full in the last 3 months. We are now entering the part of the year with the highest usage, least rain, and most evaporation. Should be able to avoid disaster but it will be interesting to see what shape the lakes are in at the end of summer.
  25. I’m kind of excited. Paxton is sloppy as hell from what it looks like over the past few years, and his trying to go after the FBI agents/investigation probably crossed some lines. I’m wondering if/how the actions of Brandon Cammack tie into this.
