Wow, that's beautiful.

It would crush the resale value, but I'd prefer it even more with the tone and volume knobs hard-dimed and non-existent.  I never twist those things anyway.

You need a volume knob with a P90. They clean up really nicely with it down a bit.

I'm sure that guy thinks he upgraayyyydddeeed it.  But he basically tanked the value.  Seems like a deal for someone who's looking for players grade.  Cause you'll never get collectible value out of it.

Why no volume knob. That seems essential to me.

Not the way I "play".  Honestly I'd just like to see what the cleanest possible build would look (and sound) like.  Of course, I'd be committed for life, nobody would buy it.

Now I want to build a parts Tele with a single P90, no knobs, no switch.

Somebody dare me.

I'd fancy mine up a little with a volume knob and a wrap around bridge.

I don’t think I’ve ever turned a tone knob on a guitar on purpose.
You should. There are a lot of good tones down there and its a good way to be less loud without being less loud. There's a reason people a so esoteric on tone caps, and tone caps don't even come into play until the tone knob hits 8.

I've checked them before to make sure they are all the way up.

I roll them off on single coil bridge pickups somewhat regularly in deference to any dogs within a three mile radius.

Man, I'd turn the bridge pickup on my Tele up to 11 if I could.

And they are only making 1,000 of them. If the prices of the ones they released in 2007 are any indication, the value should go up. Those were a poly finish, too. These are nitrocellulose.

I had played two copies of the old version and, looks aside, they were two of the best Telecasters I'd ever played. Always wanted one. We will see if the new ones compare.

I remember when west guitars? I think that’s their name shipped me a Gibson ES 335 I spent almost 4k on in just the Gibson box and left it on my door step for anyone to steal. That was fun

i keep not being able to believe my eyes that I'm seeing an unedited photo with that guitar. Which I think is... joe strummer guitar is by definition cool but I think the mindfuck I'm experiencing with the pictures is also cool.

Sweetwater also takes really washed out pics of their stuff, which I don't understand. Every guitar I get from them looks much better in person. The pics and videos of the Strummer without all the harsh lighting look much better.

Everyone who saw that box on your door step probably thought it was some sort of sting operation and way too good to be true.
