Would be a great get. Being beat in the depth chart under Jeudy, Ruggs, Smith, and Waddle isn't that bad of a knock and dude has ridiculous numbers. Graduated fast which means he ain't stupid at least and has good work ethic. We have him for two years. Could be a solid depth piece worst case and a potential contender for a starting role likely. Best case we see what the #88 prospect in the country from three years ago is supposed to look like after three years of S&C at Bama and a few months of training with our guys this year and a whole 'nother year for next year.

Bijan's name means "Hero"

Several great quotes in here about Earl Campbell:

  • Jim Brown said: "It's me 1st,  Earl 2nd, and then everybody else - -  y'all get in line!!!
  • After winning the 1978 Heisman, Barry Switzer said "Earl Campbell was the "Greatest Player who Ever Suited Up --  He's the Greatest Football player I've ever seen!!  Billy Sims is human, Campbell is not."
  •  A losing game coach in a high school game once said of Campbell, "I always thought Superman was white and wore an "S" , but now I know he's Black and wears number"20"

I thought one of the Georgia inducements was getting mom a job with a " better" airline. Maybe her healthcare hadn't kicked in yet. Or just being new is a problem

So I’m quarantined and pretty deep into the brown already.  Bored as shit.  I turn on the tv and see Michigan vs Pedo with the white out.  Looks pretty cool and I decide to check out Tariq Black.

Slow, lumbering, no separation, maybe a little fat, and essentially a non factor all night.

So I’m hoping he’s playing hurt and decide to check his stats in the other big games.   Pretty much a big bowl of jack squat.

I do trust Herman’s evals - but this guy may never see the field.  What am I missing?

He's been on a broken foot (he's done it to both!) almost his entire career. This is his longest period without one. The hope is he recovers his awesome natural athleticism.

Well that or we use him for parts

Jaden Hullaby = 55, Kelvontay Dixon = 86, Dajon Harrison = 88

Three guys with positional flexibility. Three questions answered. Clearly, they want the ball in Dixon's hands and I'm good with it.

Agree.  Big fan of having both Kelvontay and Harrison in the WR room, especially given what our slot recruiting looks like so far this year.  Gotta think at least one of those guys can redshirt given the talent in front of them.

Barron looking like a better and better pickup, both in his own right, and in freeing up guys to be WRs.

Also what a lowkey class saving flip Jaylan Ford was.

Moore and McCutchin really shouldn't have spent their time off sharing dieting tips.

Yikes.  I know he was gone for a year - but how are you going to come into your third year of college weighing 170 pounds?

Have to think that Bijan is already a top 5 RB of all time for UT, based on those numbers. I’d say it goes Earl, Ricky, Ced, Bijan, Jamaal.

Interesting with Hullaby, I thought the plan was to start him at an H-Back/TE kind of role but I do hope that number means he's starting out on defense. Think he can be a great modern style linebacker.

The late Barron flip probably made it a lot easier to start Dixon at WR.

Have we ever had anyone wear number 0 before?

Pretty sure there was a recent CFB rule change that allowed players to start wearing 0.  So we haven't (and neither has any other school), because it's never been allowed before.

Man, I look at that list and these guys coming in and their style of play as a group --  and I think of Tom Herman's raison d'etre to physically impose his will on the opponent and it really makes me love OUs continued recruitment of undersized defenders.  I fully support Grinch's effort to fix a lack of physicality by getting demonstrably smaller at every spot, all while entering year two of Bennie Wylie's excellent S&C program***.

*** In related news I can recommend a good shoulder surgeon.
