While it is true that bone growth typically continues until somewhere between 20-22 years of age, meaning that Card's hand size could theoretically continue to grow, the simple reality is that hand and foot growth is a leading indicator of growth spurts, not a trailing factor, and therefore his hand size is quite likely to be the same at 25 (or even 95) years of age as it was when he was 15 or 16.

Muscle development in hands is a different matter altogether, of course, as any good guitarist or pianist can tell you. There is a distinct possibility that with a proper training regimen, a small-handed individual could overcome the natural deficiencies presented by not having as large a grip. Not likely, but a truly zen S&C coach could probably come up with something or other.

That having been said, the best case scenario is RoJo - to - Card being a great QB - to - WR combination, followed by Stone - to - Card. Card is a good football player, and is therefore a take, but those saying he is not a QB1 take are probably correct.

I saw Major Applewhite grittily compete in the Big 12 looking like a bad body beer league softball player. I think he won the Rose Bowl for us or something and he was flinging bitch tits all over that field. Then he bagged a wildebeest while wearing a Bro. So look, body makeup isn’t everything.

Are all the recruits still on campus today?  Only one I saw that was said to have went back yesterday was Dorbah.

Garth still hanging with Roschon per OB. I'd assume most went home last night though.

In sure Yancy will come up with something creative to increase hand strength - like a link to pornhub and a bottle of astroglide.

Right.   We’re actively looking for another qb aren’t we

@Magus Ossis If we break the bones in card’s hand, then use external fixators to add space for the bones to grow back into, how much extra length could we get by the time he enrolls?

would it be unethical to only do his throwing hand?

That 100% is one guy. EJ Holland. That may have been him trolling.

So he could flip his pick to Texas and have it become 100% Texas and possibly cause a minute or two of consternation at aggy boards?

If you look back at the guys we've had who have put on a lot of weight, they all had traits that Card doesn't have.  If someone is going to put on 40 or 50 pounds of weight, there has to be to places to put it.  That starts with big thighs and wide shoulders.  Card has narrow shoulders and skinny legs.  He's also extremely cut already which is not a good thing when someone needs to add a lot of weight.  Look at pictures of Omenihu or Orakpo in high school   They looked a little soft.  They didn't have a twelve pack and wiry arms and legs.  Guys who are over 6' and well south of 200lbs with his frame, don't end up at 220.

Same with Buechele. He was tiny coming out high school.

Hamm: “So Tom Herman spent most of his speech at Texas’ junior day taking shot after shot at A&M and the SEC. It turned off a few key prospects to the point a 5-star player is no longer considering the Longhorns.”

Assuming he is talking about Demas as well

1. I am doubtful how wise it is to bring in potential troublemakers like OU and aggy commits to a recruiting weekend in which one goal will be to build esprit de corps among guys who are potential bell cows.

2. If Demas was recruiting for aggy on his visit, I have no problem with a well-executed move to solidify the pro-Texas/F—the-haters sentiment among the other recruits.

3. FWK continues to slide down the apparent above-board status scale.

4. If we got a commitment and positive tweet from two different recruits, it is possible that Herman pulled off the move referenced in #2 above.

Yep. Gotta address that shit if it’s happening in the middle of a junior day. I’m not buying the retard line that we turned him off. Bet he was being a little bitch and we showed the rest of the group that we aren’t going to sit by while an aggy talks trash bc they have no reason to.

Demas is all aggy. Kid can go kick rocks.

Demas has the same handler Shepherd has. He’s going to be paid by aggy just like Shepherd is. It’s time to expose them.

And pointing out that we just fucked up an sec school that “should have been” in the playoff in a game that they were never a threat is not taking shots at the SEC. It’s underscoring the fact that the conference is a fraud.

Also I'm going to add that I'm not paying any attention to Demas/Evans stuff for now. Those are going all the way to February. Demas does really like Jimbo. I wouldn't put it past Herman or Mehringer said something about him that was off putting. We'll know how Demas really feels about it soon enough with junior day and spring OVs coming up.

For now we have high priority guys that should get our attention in the spring just for timing reasons around their decisions.
