Karic over Lindberg all day

Tackles who do not work out can more easily switch to guard. The other way around does not work. I’m subscribed.

Vodka Tom is a decent nickname. The guy drank vodka on the rocks like it’s water when he was at U of H. I bet he’s grown out of it a little but I bet he hasn’t changed cocktails.

Sounds like Babe Ruth. I’ll bet you’ve drank with him as much as you have Tom Herman

Clint Buckley: Texas offers 2020 four-star safety Jerrin Thompson

  Reveal hidden contents

The Texas Longhorns have a new target in the 2020 recruiting class. The Horns reached out and offered four-star Lufkin safety Jerrin Thompson, he announced via Twitter on Tuesday night. Texas recently missed out on a couple of safeties in the current cycle, in Lathan Ransom and Bryson Washington, who committed to Ohio State and Oklahoma, respectively. The Longhorns, however, are still in the mix for Xavion Alford and Chris Thompson.

Thompson will be a three-year starter for Lufkin. He burst onto the scene with a monster sophomore season in 2017, racking up 95 tackles, five interceptions, and five forced fumbles. He added 90 tackles as a junior last year. Thompson, who holds offers from 17 programs, made spring visits to Arkansas, Oklahoma State, and TCU, and is reported to have interest in making a trip this fall to Notre Dame.

Texas seems like it would be a good fit for Thompson, considering its proximity to Lufkin. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the incoming senior on campus in Austin in the coming weeks. Thompson has indicated on Twitter that his recruitment is wide open. At 6-foot-0.5 inches and 183 pounds, Thompson is the No. 15 ranked safety in the nation and the No. 31 ranked player in the state of Texas, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Been waiting for this offer. I think this kid is underrated.

If King can throw the ball 220 yards, A&M will have an unstoppable duo here.

aggy's got a shitty OLine.  No way they can give King 22.4 seconds of protection to throw.

I don't see Texas taking both Karic and Lindberg so if Karic commits it likely means the staff likes him more.

I think it also means they know another 2021 kid is about to go their way they weren't counting on until his friends decided to jump on board. If you know you are taking 3-4 interior 2021 OL, then it makes sense to take a true OT prospect over a guy that could play OT but projects inside.

does he even speak english?

He speaks it enough to request the lamentations of his driven enemies’ women.

Also, is it pronounced car-ich or has it been anglicized?

Wells says he'll probably visit next week.

Wells also hinted that he may commit before the season, we may need to put him on commit watch during that visit next week.

Yeah, Lindberg seems to be searching for a reason not to pick Texas. Herman has been the bridesmaid on too many of these types of recruits. Very Mensa to move on to Karic.

Or Karic is just better which seems like a real possibility.

Karic's senior film is just him strangling a Bosnian to death with his bare hands.

You just hate to see Bosnian on Bosnian crime. Especially when there's perfectly good Croats and Serbs around.

Many Bosnians died to bring us this information.

Karic is clearly a Serb. You can tell from the slope of his brow. Very very different from that of a Bosnian or Croat. All those people are extremely different on a genetic level. Otherwise it would mean that they are all the same and have been slaughtering each other for centuries for no reason.

The really great hatreds in history are often between people who are very much alike and can't stand to admit it.

Take Karic and Lindberg.  The numbers will sort out themselves with the portal.

Gonna have to disagree for the most part.

Sure if teams play cover 2 they will draft players that play better in off coverage etc, but the best teams will focus on the best talent.

Here’s an example from the best team around. Patriots drafted Damien Harris from Alabama in the 3rd round even though they already have Sony Michel (1st rounder last year), James White, and Rex Burkhead. Didn’t need a RB.  Picked one pretty highly.  Get the best talent and sort it out.

And what round was Josh Jacobs drafted in? You are cherry picking the absolute pinnacle of the NFL front office, but the fact is there are Barton Simmons level troglodytes picking talent in the NFL like Mike Mayock in Oakland. At least half the teams in the NFL suck at drafting, be it “best talent available” or for need. And those teams guess wrong regularly on the best talent available.

Either way, projecting high schoolers to the NFL while creating these rankings is pretty fucking arrogant considering how many professional scouts get it wrong going from college to the NFL. Just say the rankings are based on metrics and your fantasy camp opinions and be done with it.
