Yesterday there was a post that the 9.95 crowd thinks we get four new commits by Sunday.  We just got Karic.  Best guess for the next three?  LV, Hester and 2021 Campbell?

Wells was on the Horn today and the four names he said to watch in the near future were Latrell Neville, Brandon Campbell, Juan Davis, and Jerrin Thompson.

From the IT board, Herman was speaking to some alumni in Austin today and they are saving a spot for one more OL. Sounds like they are going to continue to recruit Lindberg.

And Courtland Ford as well (even though he's been slow played). No way Herman is putting all of his eggs in the Lindberg basket.

I'm very skeptical of that. I think/hope they'd either close up shop or find another late bloomer before taking Ford.

or small chance maybe Ford?  At least since Dorbah and JQJ are pushing for him

Not so fast my friend.  His Dad seems like a big UT fan and got a Karen Key Largo response to his post about kids needing a ride to Austin this weekend,  Seemed like a good troll.

Who cares if his dad is a big fan? The only question is if the staff thinks he's a take or not.

I know he likes Texas but it does not sound like the interest is mutual. Not right now at least.

The name to watch is Tobias Braun. I think that's a name they will circle back to.

Heard a lot of buzz about him around the water cooler.

That Tobias is some kind of something. Boy, this Tobias is all anybody’s ever talking about. I’m so sick and tired of hearing about how brilliant that Tobias is. Overrated. We’ll just move on. Whoa, oh, I’m sorry! I’m sorry. Okay, we’re okay. Okay.

Lives right near Van Fillinger.

Because he's going to the highest bidder out of Oregon, aggy, or Tennessee.  Most likely Oregon since he has a brother that plays for them.

I'd be fine finishing this class with Jordan, Johnston, Bunkley, Collins, Thompson & Thompson, a CB #2 and miraculously finding a LB somewhere.  If any of the big names want in in the end then take them.

Takes us to 263.90 with the six you mention.  Good for 13th overall last year.  We'd likely add another 3-4 players over and above that somehow and end up around 275-280 overall, which would've been somewhere between 5-10 last year.  Sounds about right.

Got a link or a source?  It's not reflected on the 24/7 page as yet.

My source is a big money UGA donor.  Take it for what it is worth.  He’d never heard of Lindberg and texted asking what I knew about him because he had just committed.

The Derrian Brown question posed earlier is a fair one, if he is seriously getting back to football shape. I thought that was a bit of a pipe dream though. Is his return to football, not just college, a real possibility? If so, that would really soften the blow of missing out on all our RB targets this year, as long as Whittington works well at that spot this year. We’d essentially have 1 RB in each of the last 2 classes then.

Our OL has sucked shit through a straw for a very long time now and I guess some of the misses from this year and last should be expected. We all hoped Drayton could overcome that issue, but apparently not yet. I really believe this OL has turned the corner and their play on the field this year will be a team strength for the first time in >10 years, which should help us snap this RB recruiting drought, regardless of Drayton’s abilities.

If this staff is really going to let Derrian Brown suit up, no one should have concerns about the staff not letting DeGabriel Floyd play in 2020.

I have some friends with kids that attend Clear Creek, so I will find out what shirt he wore to school today and report back.

So you mean the line will no longer be escorting defenders back to the QB?

So is this kid actually a qualification risk?  Where is that coming from?

Originally came from a national rivals article by Farrell after one of their camps, where he also said he thought Texas was leading

Brings up a question . . . These kids who are graduating early in Dec and starting college in the spring semester, are they attending high school in the summer to get this done? I never really noticed or heard about it.

Admittedly it's early, but I can't for the life of me connect these dots.

I think the Derrian Brown question was about what class he might be a part of. Is he moved to the class of 20 since he won't be able to play this year?

My best speculative answer is that he will be on scholarship while he is here, so he will count against the 2019 class.

Definitely.  Think Herman already said the plan is to redshirt him this year, which would mean he would start counting with the 2019 class.

His counter for the 25 man per class rule stays with the class he signed with, but his eligibility clock doesn't start until he's on campus

The state of Texas lowered HS graduation requirements under Perry so he could tout improvement in education results for his Presidential run.

Offered, signed, attending with 2019 class = initial counter for 2019. If he is unable to play, we could medically retire him and get him off the 85 limit. If he does play and pans out, we could later apply for an extra year of eligibility should he RS one of his remaining 4 after 2019. Watching his recovery from afar (and through a figurative keyhole), I have gone from skeptical he would even attend UT to thinking he will some day see the field.
