If healthy (big if I know) this is a pretty damn good team on paper. I’ve worked with Rafael Stone and expect him to succeed given how smart the guy is.

You work/worked for the Rockets?

What would they want in addition to RW, our next 10 first rounders?

It was centered on Gordon, Tucker, and picks. The Kings have to make a decision between Hield and Bogdanovic in the next few hours.

A really big weird move or a really weird big move?

I saw Kevin Willis at the Galleria—truly a T. rex.

CSB, but Kevin Willis hit on my gf at the time.  Unlike asshole Michael Jordan*, he at least did so when I wasn't in her company.

*MJ never hit on my gf, but there's a famous internet story out there of him doing this to the writer.

Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta 'is hellbent on reducing payroll,' avoiding luxury tax, per report

The Warriors just increased their luxury tax from $66 to $134 million by using their trade exception.  That is an owner dedicated to winning.  Suck a dick, Tilman.

When his whole life is built upon leveraged credit and debt, what can you expect. Someone drum up some racist shit from his past and force him to sell.

Rockets are said to be interested in Batum who was waived to make room for Hayward

Funny story, he was the Rockets first round pick in 2008 but was traded away for Darrell Arthur and Joey Dorsey (ugh). Was superb with the Blazers, but fell off with the Hornets and a lot of that was due to injury. He's a career 35% 3 point shooter, but despite being 6'8" I wonder if he has much left in the tank defensively. He might be worth taking a chance on a vet's minimum to shore up the bench.

Hopefully he won't be the Sacha Baron Cohen version of Bruno. In fairness to him, he got next to no playing time (thanks D'Antoni!).

EDIT: Gerald Green in the background of the clip in case you missed it.

Looks like we will do a sign and trade with NY for Rivers which would generate a TPE.

Apparently they convinced Rivers to opt into his contract to do the sign and trade as opposed to just letting the Knicks sign him outright.

While it's nice to have a TPE (in the event the Knicks don't send back players or enough picks), what benefit does it do for the Rockets if they are hard capped and unwilling to incur luxury tax (thanks Tilman)?

Also, since Bruno Caboclo is back, where does he fit? Obviously, he comes off of the bench. But who does he back up? Christian Wood even though he's more of a small forward? Or just plug and play wherever?

Would love to turn Rivers into Spellman.

It was reported last week's NBA Trade Rumors that Austin Rivers had reached an agreement with the New York Knicks as a free agent this offseason. The 28-year-old was initially believed to have opted-out of his contract with the Houston Rockets. However, it seems the franchise convinced him to opt-in rather than leave as a free agent. This will allow the Houston Rockets to get some assets in return for Rivers.

There have been rumors in the NBA community regarding the Houston Rockets potential rebuilding plans. With insiders leaking that the franchise is, in fact, looking to trade its superstar duo of James Harden and Russell Westbrook, many believe that a rebuild is inevitable and could start as early as this week.

The New York Knicks have several assets they are willing to use, according to NBA Trade Rumors. The franchise is reportedly committed to the growth of their young stars R.J Barrett and Obi Toppin and is looking to build around them.

On the whole, this trade could be good for both teams involved. The Houston Rockets could bring in younger players and gain some assets in return for a player who was never a key part of their plans.

The New York Knicks, on the other hand, require veteran leadership. Austin Rivers could provide experience and also potentially help the franchise's young players fulfill their potential in the coming years.  The New York Knicks have finally started to make offseason moves their fans can be proud of. If the franchise can continue on this path, the team could be headed towards long-overdue success.

Rockets used their entire 20-21 cash allotment in the Ariza Wood trade. So they can't offer money when trying to dump contracts anymore. Might explain the deal with the Knicks for the PG.

Guess we are rolling with WB and harden again.

I always thought Harden would stay. I still think there is a chance that WB is moved if the right trade presents itself.
