I've never seen a more unwilling passer in my entire life. Looks to run, looks to run again, first read, reluctant throw. Burton should hit the portal today.

Everyone knew he was going to be a project. Kid is starting in his 2nd game against a really good D.

There are plenty of running QBs/athletes who turned out to be pretty good QBs. Jalen Hurts looked like shit in his first few starts. So did Vince.

Milroe throws a nice deep ball and his combo of speed, strength and athleticism are off the hook. Bama's coaches should be smart enough to design a package that plays to Milroe's strengths instead of making him do things (pocket passer for short and medium passes) he's absolutely not good at.

They need to move him to RB

If they had a real QB behind him we would have seen that guy last night. Tbh I still think he can get better as the season progresses (this is only his 3rd start iirc) and Bama could actually run the table on their SEC schedule if their OC plays to his strengths.

Yeah they need to just build around his strengths and accept that they are limited at QB position this year.

That said we are going to make a lot of QBs look bad this year if we play like we have the last two games.

Dude is a Houston kid and wanted to be at Texas. I have mad respect for Jalen. He'll be ok if Bama can play to his strengths.

Fuck Jase though. That guy did not want to run anymore against us. Jamarion Miller was almost forced in after Jase stopped trying anymore. Thank goodness he did not do the typical 'new RB gash Texas D' bit.

Dude just loves Sark. First, he flipped from Texas to Bama to play for Sark. When that didn't work out, he decided to throw the game just to help Sark win. It's hard to find this kind of devotion these days.

IIRC, Milroe committed here when Beck was the OC and we were running the Herman/QB power offense.  When Herman made the change to Yurcich, he wanted more of a pro-style passer and offered other QB's and wasn't a fan of Milroe.

He straight up decommitted 3 days after Ewers committed the 1st time. Dude did not want the smoke.

Milroe looked like a guy in his third start.   The difference between this start and the last one he had against a P5 school (allegedly) is aggy defense gave up 286 rushing, our defense gave up 107.  If you take things like that away from a pretty inexperienced QB he's probably going to struggle.

This was issue #1 for the Milroe camp.

Both played a part in him decommitting

He wanted Bama from the beginning, then he wanted A&M, both said ehh. Bama took Drake Maye (can you imagine what that would have been like?) A&M took…Stowers? Idk doesn’t matter.
We showed interest and he reciprocated heavily once he wasn’t feeling the love elsewhere. Yurcich didn’t believe in him, tried to get Sawyer Robertson, failed, but landed Ewers after it seemed like we weren’t gonna get him.

Milroe was already getting ready to jump ship, but Bama losing Maye caused Sark to circle back. All that plus the Ewers stuff, made it a no brainer for him.
