Del Conte hired Eric Bell at TCU.

Before Bell, TCU had never made the NCAA tournament. This will be their 6th straight NCAA tournament and they made the Elite 8 last year. They will make another deep run this season (in all likelihood).

If Bell isn't the top choice I would be shocked.

This job should be very attractive for some coach assuming the roster stays together. Outside of Grosso all the top players are true FR.

Byars, Missimo, Cox, Fung, and Ward are already the best players on the roster with Grosso.  Every goal and assist today against SIUE was from a FR.

This was one of the best recruiting classes in the country and I still think that's true. The problem is there isn't much outside of that FR class. No excuses for Kelly though as you don't get 2 or 3 years to develop this type class when you haven't had much success yet. Regardless, any coach with a brain should be able to see that FR class is pretty loaded and it wouldn't take much of a coaching job to turn things around quickly.

I'm hoping this talented FR class doesn't save Kelly but these young players are starting to figure things out.

Up 2-0 at the half on OU with two goals from FR. This would be 5 in a row with pretty good competition coming to Austin in the next few games.

If Texas does make a coaching change I would be salivating at this roster with this FR class.

Now 3-2 after two quick OU goals. This is the most Ange Kelly experience.

You're up 3-0 and all you have to do to win this game is get numbers behind the ball and play intelligently. Nope. We're up 3-0 and we're constantly getting caught forward...it makes no sense.

4-3 Texas with 2 minutes to play. Certainly Kelly can't screw this up.

I'm glad I paid $10 to witness this experience lol. Texas was completely dominating 55 minutes in and all it required to win this game was a little bit of coaching. Looks like we may still win but god this is bad.

This FR class is so fucking loaded too if they just had a good coach.

5 in a row. Two really good teams at home next (TCU and Tech) but if you can find a way to get maybe a draw and win this goes from a dumpster fire year to potentially being in the Big 12 race and making the tournament.

I don't have much faith in Kelly at all but these FR are very good.

This is an ass kicking so far.. we can barely touch the ball

down 0-1 early, tcu with multiple opportunities to make it more

Good result. Get a win at home vs another good team in Tech and this team is right in the Big 12 race.

Those FR are starting to realize they can play with anyone.

We also didn’t give up a goal in the final 10 of regulation. Huge progress for an AK team!

Taking the girls today.  Is it still free admission?  And is there a concession stand open?  They can’t go on campus with abundant snackage

1-0 final. Texas now 7-3-3 and 3-0-1 in the Big 12.  We still have Baylor and WV though who are also unbeaten in conf play. We host WV and go to Waco.

Baylor plays a lot like Tech. Physical and try to play balls over the top. Think the Texas style of play with possession will frustrate them much like Tech today.

Granted, who the fuck knows with Kelly.

Up to #46 in RPI. We were like #180 a couple weeks ago.

This has gone from a dumpster fire season to being in position to make the NCAA tournament and challenging for a Big 12 championship. Now don't screw it up Kelly.

Baylor #27
West Virginia #35

We have opportunities there.

Other teams left:

Iowa State #161
OSU #70
Kansas #96

It's soccer so the scores don't really indicate how much Texas dominated these last 2 games against Tech and Iowa State.

Neither team really had scoring opportunities. Nice to finally see possession and a team that's just able to completely dictate how a game is played.

Baylor lost 2-1 to KU. Texas and WV are atop the Big 12 - Texas 4-0-1 and WV 2-0-1.

WV has to play 6 more matches between tomorrow and the 28th.  Texas only has 4 left between the 15th and 28th.

Texas plays Friday in Waco and then has a layover of 6 days until they host WV.  WV is playing tomorrow in Lawrence, hosting TCU on Thursday, hosting Tech on the 17th and then travels to Texas on the 21st.

Texas should be far far fresher when WV comes to town.

KU knocks off WV 2-1. They aren’t easy at home - 2 wins, Baylor and WV

Savor it, my friends
