So was this guy using email access to stalk someone or find out what his players were saying re the portal, etc? He does have an economics background, so perhaps he was just inserting some minor code into the UM servers. image.thumb.png.9ef04ed6492fb94100044efbfedce082.png

Supposedly getting a 4 game suspension for buying burgers during recruiting visits. What a joke the NCAA is.

Michigan should throw all of its weight behind getting the big ten and SEC out from under the NCAA. Tennessee gets a slap on the wrist. A&M gets a scolding and Michigan gets their coach suspended for 4 games for buying some burgers.

yeah they are definitely more concerned about the lying than they are the burgers. It is kind of amusing that Harbaugh would rather take the 4 game suspension than admit to lying.

It is pretty hard to believe that Harbaugh is so lacking in EQ that buying a teenager a hamburger with cheese is an infraction he is unable to talk his way out of.

How big does your ego have to be to paint yourself into this situation?

Source: Jim Harbaugh's suspension deal with NCAA breaks down; he's now expected to coach full 2023 season

  Quote

"The Michigan infractions case is related to impermissible on and off-campus recruiting during the COVID-19 dead period and impermissible coaching activities — not a cheeseburger,” said Derrick Crawford, NCAA vice president, hearing operations.

The case is centered on alleged Level II NCAA violations by Harbaugh and his staff that include meeting with recruits during a so-called dead period, watching workouts on Zoom and having too many analysts participate in on-field practice coaching.

During the investigation, the NCAA alleges that Harbaugh was not forthcoming with investigators and therefore slapped a Level I violation onto the case, which calls for far stiffer penalties, including suspensions.

Lol.  Super conferences breaking off for their own league is definitely coming at some point.

Yeah, this is dumb on so many levels, but apparently the deal broke apart because Harbaugh wouldn't publicly apologize for "misleading the NCAA" so instead he will get to coach all this year and the BIG10 SEC will say fuck you to the NCAA next year. How petty is the NCAA to throw in the "this isnt about cheeseburgers" comment. Clearly it is about cheeseburgers.

Michigan is playing chess here apparently. Take 3 games this year against scrubs and then 1 more next year against scrubs so they can have Harbaugh vs Texas next year.

I hate fucking Michigan but the ncaa is worse. Personally I could give a shit about any recruiting that doesn’t enhance onfield performance like using trainers to operate a steroids clinic. Wanna buy his mama a new double wide? Ok. Give daddy a no show job. Good. Send stripper pole addict sister into rehab. Go for it. A Corvette and a cheerleader doesn’t turn into championships. Right Jimbo?

I’m wondering how this is different than the Arizona State situation a couple of years ago? They had pretty strong evidence that Herm Edwards and his Asst. Coach violated Covid protocols on the regular. Did the fact they cleaned house (I think) eliminate any punishment?

Nepotism at its finest

Jay has been finominle at every position group and special teams. He has definitely earned his shot. If it was him getting the nod for all 3 games and not 1 half you may be able to call nepotism but he has 100% earned to be able to coach 1 half of a football game.
