Harbaugh has the one thing that has proven to hide the flaws of average coaches. A transcendent QB. Look at what Jimbo got from a season of Crab Legs. With or without the plays Michigan still has a boatload of seniors on the team, and a QB that is going to end up in New York on Heisman night. That is good enough to beat up on any of the teams in the big ten and at least get them back to the playoffs.

A transcendent QB that threw 2 pick sixes in the biggest game of his career after acting like a bitch in the media prior to the game.

Don’t the radios shut off at a certain point of the play clock in the nfl? Like 15 seconds left on the play clock or something like that?

Yeah, pretty sure that’s correct. Or the snap. Whichever happens first.

If you’re a betting person bet your entire life on Purdue beating Michigan next week. Purdue eats top 5 teams for lunch, and with all this distraction swirling it just makes perfect sense.

Not a ton of new stuff, but it does say he was paid for his time via Venmo from the Michigan staffer... so now we have paid comp for this and more questions about budget in all of this.

Suspended Michigan football staffer Connor Stalions compensated at least one person for recording future Wolverine opponents with "a couple hundred dollars" and a ticket to a Michigan home game, according to the person.

The man, a former Division 3 football player and coach, spoke to ESPN on the condition that his name not be published because he was concerned about his privacy. He is the first person who was involved in the alleged cheating scheme to publicly share details about their role.

He said he attended three Big Ten games during the past two years to record the sidelines of a future Michigan opponent. He said he uploaded the videos he took on his personal cell phone to a shared iPhone photo album, but does not know who else other than Stalions had access to the album.

He said he was wary of Stalions' plan "to a degree" when he was first approached to tape the games, but felt that if someone from Michigan's staff was asking him to do this that it must fall safely in the gray area of college football's sign-stealing rules.

"I didn't like it, but it's a gray line," he said. "You can call me naive, but no one is reading the bylaws. I'm not a contractual lawyer. ...I just felt like if you're not doing it, you're not trying to get ahead."

It is against NCAA rules for staff members of a football program to scout games of future opponents in person. The NCAA football rulebook also prohibits "an opposing player, coach or other team personnel" from recording an opponent's signals through audio or video. The NCAA is investigating claims that Michigan used a large network of individuals to tape games of future opponents. Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh denied any knowledge of the alleged scheme in a statement last week. A Michigan spokesman added on Friday that "due to the ongoing investigation, no one from Michigan will be able to comment beyond what was shared last week."

The source who spoke to ESPN Friday said he attended games at Rutgers and Penn State last season and another game at Penn State last month.

"I only did a half because it was pouring rain and they were playing UMass. It didn't pay well enough so I was like, 'yeah, I'm not staying here.'"

He said that before the news of the investigation was made public Stalions also provided him a ticket to this coming Saturday's game between Indiana and Penn State. He does not plan to attend.

I knew there had to be a reason for our late season losses.

Let's go ahead and put FSU, and of course, Vandy on probation.

Stallions bought a ticket to the UK-Tennessee game so I want to blame him for that loss and I want Tennessee to be put on probation for 100 years but I could accept 90 years.

So if you're Joe Blow, somewhat college football educated, do you go underground when the lawyers, investigators, and NCAA come knocking. I would spill my guts as soon and fast as I could. I ain't taking any kind of punishment or fine, or ridicule for any football program. as loyal as I may or may not be, not even the Longhorns would get my silence.

I guarantee that the electronic and money trail on this is out there and can be unraveled/revealed if someone really cares to find out. The new crooks of today are idiots.

Never in writing, never over the phone, always in cash, and if anyone asks you where you got the money(?) You tell them you won it in a crap game. Idiots.

What I don't want to see is that teams go to radios and then the coaches are giving them all of the pre snap reads and telling them where to throw up until the ball is snapped. It will incentivize teams to go up tempo again so that the coaches can make reads at the line once they see the defense.

Expand

But even in the NFL they can go up tempo and keep talking to the QB...

(sad) Giants fan here. I don't know if it's the right move or not yet, but don't see them firing Daboll this season. And if they do, don't think Harbaugh is the guy I'd want them to hire.

Love him but I've been saying Saquon was the wrong pick since the day they drafted him. Should've started the rebuild with a QB then. Daniel Jones blows. Been saying that since they drafted him too Thank god there's an out in that contract after next season. Glad that we see Tyrod again tomorrow, but don't think that anyone would be particularly good behind that shit OL.

Keep losing. The higher the draft pick the better at this point.

It's all a moot point as he did everything in his name from what I can tell. Glad to know, however, that Victor R. Franko wouldn't be a "friend of the program."

Desmond argued yesterday that the sign stealing scandal was unfair to the Michigan players. The Gameday crew collectively gasped, but didn’t rebuke him.

It was obviously planted by Michigan officials as Desmond is too CTE’d to come up with an intelligent thought.

I think this will be the company line moving forward. Harbaugh will fall on his sword and accept Luhnow like exile after the season.

Very underrated comment. ACC coaches have been saying Venables was stealing signs for years.. Just hope NCAA listens to coaches like Saban and Rhule, who both came out saying it is ridiculous that they don’t have headsets in the QB helmets at the P5 level. That should be the 1st rule change the committee reviews this off-season. It’s a joke this is still going on, when it could be fixed in a month

Am I mistaken, or did we see wristbands for the offense in the OU game?  I swear I saw them and took note, because when I think of wristbands I think of near the end of the Charlie Strong years when that was the solution to the defense being dogshit.

It's been interesting that I have seen some comments about this from certain media and internet corners blowing it off as no big deal with things like "yea but they still gotta stop it or make the play happen" and pointing out things like tOSU having 492 yards against Michigan.  Sure, knowing the play or the defense doesn't for sure mean you are can stop it, but you know where it makes it a LOT more likely......late in a game.  Fatigue starts to set in.  You may not be able to stop what you know is coming in the 1st quarter against a really talented team but I guarantee you it makes it a shitload easier to stop things when everybody has a little tired on them AND you know what's coming.

I used to argue with a guy that said Barry Bonds juicing didn't matter because you need more than just strength to hit homers.  I finally gave up as once someone makes up their mind, it ain't changing.

Your friend is right. Bonds was also homering off a bunch of juiced pitchers as well
