Don't sell yourself short, you could take 1 or 2 of the coxswain's.

I remember many years ago, they had about 1 boat of truly gifted rowers.  The rest of the boats were filled out with whatever tall women on campus had reasonable strength and coordination.  Now, we've gone 7 straight years with Top 10 finishes with this year's national championship...and judging by the ages on the roster-probably in contention for more hardware next season.

Congrats to the Women!

Matthew McConaughey in Pell City

Matthew McConaughey is on a restaurant tour of Alabama, it seems, at least shooting movies if not enjoying meals there as he films “The Rivals of Amziah King” this summer.

The latest sighting on McConaWatch located the Oscar-winning star of “Dallas Buyers Club” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” at the Pell City Steak House Restaurant, located at 2401 Comer Ave., right off of Highway 231. The Rev. Chuck Lackey, pastor at Calvary Baptist Church of Odenville, happened to drive by the moment McConaughey walked across the entrance of the beloved Alabama steakhouse. “Alright, alright, alright!,” Lackey told AL.com he shouted at the star, referencing McConaughey’s iconic line uttered by his character Wooderson in the 1993 film “Dazed and Confused.”

Is "How to lose a guy in 10 days" really his second most notable film? I still haven't seen that one, and lord willing I never will.

Matthew McConaughey on Texas Fans to Throwing Trash on Field: We're Better Than That

While I agree with his statement, at this point do any current students really care what MM has to say about anything?  He's probably the same age as most students' parents, and I'm guessing they mostly just see him as another old guy who used to be famous for his movies, but is now famous for being famous and is having trouble giving up the spotlight.  And while we're on the subject, why does MM always look like he needs a hot bath and a shave?  Then again, I'm an even older guy, so maybe I have it completely wrong, and MM really is some kind of relevant cultural guru.

Yup, with camera crew in tow no less

Is he making a documentary or what? I think the last time I saw him in a big movie was Wolf of Wall Street over ten years ago. I can’t imagine what Gen Z thinks of him today.
