That’s what you burned your weekly visit for Cosby?  To tell your publicist to go after Eddie Murphy?   Not to talk to your kids or your wife, for this shit?   You small, small man.  I hope you get shived tomorrow.

Neighborhood and jeopardy skits were clever.   I didn’t think the buckwheat one was executed very well   Gumby was the funniest thing all night   And best 10:1 skit and WU of the last few seasons

That was fan service in the best way. Mr Robinson was damn near perfect. Black Jeopardy went a little different direction but they nailed it. Eddie seemed comfortable even when he flubbed a line.

I also always enjoy the Jost/Che surprise reading of each other's jokes. Black cue hard holder LMFAO

Gary Richardson, writer.  He probably wrote the joke and the cue card is fucking funny too if Jost would have had to read it....

They need to be careful about running through the same gags with the Dem debates.  Less is more.

I haven't seen the whole show yet but did Eddie make a David Spade joke?

They will never top the Buckwheat was shot arc.

What kind of person was he?

He was a quiet young man. He attended church, and Sunday School. I remember he was always very polite.

Do you think he shot Buckwheat?

Oh yes, that's all he talked about.

----

He was a loner, but a real hard worker. I mean, he pumped the gas, he checked the oil, he washed the windows. Nice kid.

Do you believe he killed Buckwheat?

Oh, yes, definitely. Thats all he talked about. I remember one day I says, uh, Stutts, why are you working so hard? He says, Cause Im saving up to buy a gun, so I can kill Buckwheat.

Not a David Spade joke necessarily but he alluded to that incident by poking fun at Lorne Michaels in the Gumby appearance.

Eddie and Will Ferrell are 1 and 2. If we're just talking about time on SNL. Aykroyd probably 3. IMO.

Phil Hartman would like a word...

(but he got shot in the face, so... yeah.)

Monologue was good. Frozen skit was dragging until Olaf showed up. Robbie skit was legit.

JJ's not afraid to go for it.

I've only seen the first half so far, but pleasantly surprised.  His Monologue was pretty good, Frozen was okay, Robbie was legit funny, and him as a Dad talking about Sex was hilarious.  Weekend Update Worked too.

I got to Justin (WTF) Bieber first song and shut that crap pile show off, may be the worst half of SNL EVER!!! One note comedy of Rupaul and the no talent supposed singing of a guy that should be working the drive through at Burger King.

Chloe Fineman’s take on the Oscars on the weekend update was pretty great. She’s so cute, talented and funny. I will say that the last few years the cast as been great overall. Chloe’s a newbie.

Mulaney needs to host 2x a year.

David Byrne’s first set was very good.

LaGuardia is the best non-political sketch of the season.  It’s not Diner Lobster, but it’s close.

I’ve often wondered what a David Byrne Ted talk would look like, now I know.  Loved it.  Great monologue (haven’t said that in a long while) and weekend update was excellent.  LaGuardia sketch was only funny one of the night after cold opening.

Yeah, the news was solid as always.  The only other funny part was Mulaney's monologue.  SNL's writers can do politics (which is batting practice for satire right now), but that's about it.  I tend to catch the cold open and the news and play with my phone the rest of the time.

Craig, Daniel Craig.

I can't help but think they will have some Bond cameos. Please let there be Celebrity Jeopardy with Sean Connery.

I doubt the writers want to have Sean Connery insulting a man with stage IV pancreatic cancer.

It's not insulting.  Trebek has said before he loves those skits.

I mean, that cancer bit was not my thing...too edgy.  But that one guy really seemed to like it.

He HAD cancer!

And laughter is the best medicine.

Cold open with Elizabeth Warren was solid. Craig's monologue was good with the NTTD video. Sands of Modesto Corona virus soap opera was funny. Debbie Downer recall was solid. WU was solid. Not a fan of The Weekend, but he didn't suck and did a few cameos. WTF happened to his face? Game night delivered. Overnight Salad was a decent ender. Final score B+. Craig is a solid host.
