My prediction is that they are waiting for a big Russian shoe to drop so that way they can pivot and say that their viewer base were the victims of Russia and their bought traitors. That way, their viewers aren't stupid, no... They and all of America were under attack and Trump was originally their champion but he was surrounded by traitors who misled him, and he collapsed under the pressure. What Fox needs is a reason that will make viewers think it was out of their control, that their viewers made the right vote originally, and that it was outside forces that screwed it all up. Hell, they'll even sprinkle in that Obama knew that Russia was coming and did nothing. They'll have the "1980s wants their foreign policy back" clip on repeat. Think of the line they say now that W was a good president, 9/11 fell into his lap, he did his best, but was misled by those around him. They also stated that Bill Clinton had Bin Laden in his grasp and let him go. It's not your fault, you made the right choice, forces out of your control made it all go sideways, and in fact, it was a D who started it all.

Fox is always ready to pivot. Hell, that's why they keep Shepherd Smith around. Once they finally pivot, they will air his clips to show they were onto it all along. By the time all this happens 4, 5 months down the road, their viewers will have forgotten all the thrashing the other 90% of their on-air people were doing over all this. Fox is just waiting to shoot their shot.

Taking these thoughts further, if the Republicans were smart they would go to Fox and orchestrate the takedown of Trump and the ascension of whoever they have waiting in the wings. It would probably work on all those Fox rubes.

While all this political/media class cheerleading for whistleblower protections is going on, the most prominent whistleblower in America remains imprisoned for taking a principled stand against secret grand juries while being driven into crippling debt. Chelsea Manning is still racking up fines of $1,000 per day while locked in a Virginia federal detention center for refusing to testify against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. The mainstream press that is so keen to champion a “whistleblower” who works for the CIA and provided information which feeds into America’s fake partisan pro wrestling feud has been almost completely silent on the actual whistleblower who exposed actual US war crimes.

Fox News has hosts openly attacking one another on-air.  And Wallace, Smith, and Judge Neapolitan and the others who are either criticizing Trump, or his backers, are doing so with the support of management.   I’m guessing Tucker is being pressured by Trump, and feeding him info about Fox News goings-on, hence his little spat with Smith.

So, the Chinese now?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-says-he-raised-hunter-biden-allegations-with-his-china-go-between/2019/09/27/c85fbb8e-e152-11e9-8dc8-498eabc129a0_story.html

President Trump, who has alleged that Hunter Biden got the Chinese to put $1.5 billion into an investment fund, said during private remarks this week that he raised the matter with a U.S. executive who has served as his intermediary on trade talks with Beijing.

Trump’s comments could attract interest in light of the impeachment inquiry underway by House Democrats. That investigation focuses on the president’s effort to extract information about Hunter Biden’s job on a Ukrainian gas company’s board at a time when his father was overseeing U.S. policy in that country. Given Trump’s comments, investigators may want to learn whether the president similarly sought information about the Bidens in China.

In remarks to the U.S. Mission to the United Nations on Thursday morning, Trump said he discussed Biden’s China work with Stephen Schwarzman, the chief executive of the investment company Blackstone.

“I was with the head of Blackstone . . . Steve Schwarzman,” Trump said, according to a video of the remarks obtained by The Washington Post. After alleging that Hunter Biden got $1.5 billion from the Chinese, Trump said he asked Schwarzman, “Steve, is that possible?” Trump said Schwarzman asked, “Who got that?” and Trump responded, “Biden’s son.”

Trump said he asked Schwarzman how that could happen, and the executive responded: “Maybe I shouldn’t get involved, you know it’s very political.”

Schwarzman declined to comment. His spokeswoman, Jennifer Friedman, said in a statement that “Steve never spoke to the President about Joe Biden or his family, nor has he had any conversations with the Chinese about Biden or his family.”

Schwarzman wrote in his just-published autobiography, “What It Takes,” that he traveled to Beijing eight times in 2018 “on behalf” of the Trump administration during trade negotiations. He is unofficially known as Trump’s “China whisperer.”

President Trump told two senior Russian officials in a 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election because the United States did the same in other countries, an assertion that prompted alarmed White House officials to limit access to the remarks to an unusually small number of people, according to three former officials with knowledge of the matter.

The comments, which have not been previously reported, were part of a now-infamous meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, in which Trump revealed highly classified information that exposed a source of intelligence on the Islamic State. He also said during the meeting that firing FBI Director James B. Comey the previous day had relieved “great pressure” on him.

A memorandum summarizing the meeting was limited to all but a few officials with the highest security clearances in an attempt to keep the president’s comments from being disclosed publicly, according to the former officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

The White House’s classification of records about Trump’s communications with foreign officials is now a central part of the impeachment inquiry launched this week by House Democrats. An intelligence community whistleblower has alleged that the White House placed a record of Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukraine’s president, in which he offered U.S. assistance investigating his political opponents, into a code-word classified system reserved for the most sensitive intelligence information.

Lulz. This apology brought to you by Jeff Sessions and Jay Sekulow.

How'd that turn out? Seems if they found a connection to Obama we would've heard about it.

You know, this may very well be one of the greatest scandals in Presidential history; on par with Watergate and the Teapot Dome Scandal.  But who here wouldn't be surprised if Trump just decided next Thursday to pardon everyone who worked in the Whitehouse from January 20, 2017 until present day?  Just a big blanket pardon of everyone.

While that alone would be scandalous enough, what's to stop him?  His conscience? His morals?  His dignity?  Hell, he has none of those.  He, with a straight face, can say he is doing this to stop the godless Democrat party from ruining this great country, and 40% will eat it up.

We all know without a doubt he's been thinking of how to pardon himself and his family.

Maybe so but Johnny Sack thinks he’s doing a great job. Didn’t vote for trump but now he will. You know, tax cuts and all.

Whoever the next president is should make sure that guys like the sack lose almost all their money. All of it.

All of it.

I didn't realize that Trump's regular look, sans makeup or tanner, is identical to the aliens in "They Live."

Makes total sense now.

Also, to Goredho's point...visiting Baptists who are also Trump voters.  Good lord, I thought my in-law weekends were rough.  Peace be with you...

Can you issue just a generic blanket pardon or do you have to specify what exactly is being pardoned? I'm too lazy to look it up.
