yo....blistering opinion.

for those of you who aren't lawyers, it's exceedingly rare to grant death penalty sanctions in any court, but doubly so for in a federal venue.  the conduct has to be outrageously egregious for a court to even consider it, much less grant the motion.  Howell lays out that conduct very well.

in short, Rudy and all the rest of the Trump minions are basically smegma in a week old condom sitting in the August sun behind some cheap motel in Douglass, AZ.

Intentionally not complying with court ordered discovery (twice, in this case) is a very bad strategy that can lead to a very bad things. I think the judge would view this more as a “fuck you judge, I’m not giving up the documents” than an admission of liability for damages strategy reasons.

I have the popcorn, and I await the entertainment.

Did not disappoint.  Quality read from the judge.

Trump for sure will not pay Rudy now.  You can just feel him thinking to himself, “I can’t pay Rudy. If I give him money it’ll just go to those horrible Negro women.”

this is an amazing timeline.  One of the few times my father cried as an adult, he was working in New Jersey, just across from Ground Zero.  His trucking company asked to start queueing up refrigerated cartons at the Holland Tunnel entrance, in case they were called upon by Mayor Rudy to haul off recovered corpses.  But he was really moved by Rudy's humanity and leadership and grace under pressure.  And now maybe one of the most well-connected lawyers in U.S. history is having to scurry to make bail at a shady West Atlanta bondsman literally located between an animal euthanasia facility and a Family Dollar.  What a time to be alive.

One of my New Yorker friends likes to say that Rudy Giuliani only had one good day, and it was the worst day in American history. He himself has acknowledged this, saying:

“I guess the best way to describe it is, it was the worst day of my life and in some ways, you know, the greatest day of my life, in terms of my city, my country, my family.”

  Quote

“I think that he was always ambitious and ruthless and, in some cases, sadistic,” Giuliani biographer Andrew Kirtzman told Vanity Fair this week. “But those malevolent qualities mixed with his generosity to people, the fact that he was protective of New Yorkers when he felt that his city was being treated unfairly. I was with Giuliani on 9/11. I watched his compassion and his generosity of spirit by attending 200 funerals. This is not Donald Trump. This is not someone who is basically a bad guy from start to finish, in a very linear way. He’s a much more complex figure.”

Beryl Howell has heard a mega shit ton of Trumpy lawsuits and criminal cases, including presiding over the Mar A Lago and January 6 grand juries.

I'm quite sure she is sick to death of these fuckers and their bullshit.

I've said this before, but I bought one of those awesome Four Seasons shirts when it happened. I'm definitely not one to ever wear political apparel, but I couldn't help myself on that one. It was too good and too funny.

But, to my chagrin, all the MAGA people in my life have absolutely zero idea what it's referencing. Not one. Their media sources keep them completely sheltered from all of the rampant embarrassments of the past 8 years.

So disappointing.

I'm in the same exact boat. I wear it out and about in deep East Texas and never get a second look. It's one of my favorite tshirts.

I'm late to the party, but what this motherfucker did to Ruby Freeman and his daughter cannot be forgiven. He ruined their lives. I hope they can collect on the judgment.

He never even apologized. “Sorry for absolutely obliterating your lives, just because I could.”

No doubt. It's a subtle way for those of us to recognize a kindred spirit in the wild. It's completely opposite from "Let's Go Brandon" or any of the truly obvious shit with the MAGA crew. I do, however, appreciate that approach by them so I know to keep a wide berth.

RUDY THE RUSSIAN ASSET
HAD A VERY SHINY NOSE
WHEN YOU DRINK 24-7
THAT’S USUALLY THE WAY IT GOES

ALL THE OTHER LAWYERS
LAUGHED AT HIM BEHIND HIS BACK
THEY KNEW THAT GOOD OLE' RUDY
WAS NOTHING BUT A POLITICAL HACK

THEN ONE DARK AND STORMY NIGHT
DONALD CAME TO SAY
RUDY WITH YOUR NOSE SO BRIGHT
WILL YOU TELL ME I’M 100% RIGHT?

THEN HOW THE MINIONS LOVED HIM
AS THEY SHOUTED OUT WITH GLEE
RUDY YOU’RE NOW ONE OF US
WE'LL  GO DOWN IN HISTORY

I heard it start out to something different as well…

Hey, once I was America’s Mayor
Fightin’ crime was just my brand
I never had no problems yeah
changing wives between my one night stands
And then everyone around me, yeah
Ignored me so I was feelin' so low
And I decided quickly, yes I did
Suck up to Trump - and be a part of his show
And I was lyin’ - and fartin’ -and dripping hair dye at Four Seasons
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted
“Defame those black poll workers white boy
Say lies for Trump you know ain’t right
Defame those black poll workers white boy

Lay down those big lies, get RICO prison time until you die
'Til you die, yeah, oh 'til you die

Cassidy Hutchinson, the former top aid to Trump's WH chief of staff Mark Meadows, claims in her new book that she was groped by Rudy Giuliani on the day of the attack on the Capitol: "He put his hand under my blazer, then my skirt..." I feel his frozen fingers trail up my thigh,” “He tilts his chin up. The whites of his eyes look jaundiced. My eyes dart to John Eastman, who flashes a leering grin." “I fight against the tension in my muscles and recoil from Rudy’s grip … filled with rage, I storm through the tent, on yet another quest for Mark.” Why am I not surprised reading this?

The fuck? Who talks--or writes--like this? Is she auditioning for her her own romance novel series? Because good luck ever getting this horrifying image out of your readers' heads.

I guess Trump with his gawking at aid's asses and history of pussy grabbing was capable of setting up so depraved a culture. I started to write that I found the writing difficult to believe. I thought Meadows was the leering witness, but it was Rudy's co-turd, Eastman.

These guys thought they were about to take over the country and be powerful dukes to King Trump. I think these are two guys prematurely drunk with power and trying to harvest the fruit.

The hand that went up Hutchinson's skirt should be chopped (or sawn) off. This is worse than a despicable pussy grab in a bar, it's an expression of impunity of the powerful.

It's over the top. I wonder if she wrote it herself. It's so purple that it diminishes credibility, but I believe the essence of this scene occured if she says it did.
