to be fair, baylor is adding more value (as an athletic program) than Texas this fiscal year as well

let that shit sink in

played for Big 12 Title in football

ranked 1/2 in both men's and women's basketball

#1 Big 12 in volleyball

Idk why you’re using fiscal year, or how you’re defining value, but no matter the definition you use for value, you’re just flat out wrong. Texas will always be more valuable to the Big 12 than Baylor, regardless of results on the field. It’s not even debatable.

Even with that badass set up for pacman's post, the argument is flatly wrong. Baylor adds zero intrinsic value to the Big 12, especially when they're winning. It makes everyone else, especially Texas, look stupid; eyeballs on the tv do not increase, the national media does not give a fuck; and it emboldens their cult to do more corrupt and evil shit to perpetuate their success. Them doing well in sports creates a negative ROI for the conference and particularly for Texas. If they're not going to be a doormat, everyone else loses.

To pile on to this, a couple of the moneyed folk I know have said that some of the bigwigs are in CDC's ear about this...not necessarily CTJ's take per se but the fact that the floor for success in their minds is that Texas should be the best athletic department of all of the state universities and ultimately how CDC will be evaluated in the near term. Football is bad enough, but having to listen to their Tech and Baylor friends cackle about basketball and baseball and shit like that is definitely putting a burr in their saddle so to speak.

This is the only downside of not having the fucktards from BCS in our conference.  The rest of the also rans have been jockeying for position to become a rival to Texas.  Many of them think they are the main rival now too.  When aggy was in our conference we had a buffer between us and only had aggy’s stupidity to deal with because these teams hate aggy more than us.  With aggy out of the picture the rest of the also rans have gone full retard.

It won't be baylor.

As well they should be, Texas should absolutely dominate the non-rev/Olympic sports (since the less well-off schools usually just sort of prop them up because a football/baseball/basketball-only athletic department would be bad for Title 9), and really should be the best or close to it at everything in the conference.

Hey, you work in harry potter references

I mean, I get it, I'm just point out that all you had to say was "and" instead of "if." Lets not pretend that one must beget the other or you'll take your wand and go home.

i missed the meaning of "value", poor attention to detail there, rather meant to imply they were outperforming us and it wasn't close. of course, we are the largest brand in Texas.

i used fiscal year because that is what colleges use, 9/1 to 8/31.

It's time to get serious.

1) establish heavy/heavier Canadian international recruiting (oil & gas engineering would be a no-brainer angle)
2) establish BIG XII HOCKEY
3) dominate
4) profit

Just curious how the topic changed from football coaches to sex.

Porn addiction is an epidemic whose normalization has produced a sexual culture that would make Roman patricians blush.

Really want us to stay patient and find someone who can move the needle at this position.  If we can get the most out the pretty sick talent we have at DT - the top two or three guys anyway - we could easily see a massive defensive turnaround next year.

Procreation is our biological imperative. Sex is the modus operandus for procreation. Ergo, we as humans have a biological imperative to think about and seek out sex. It dominates everything we do as a species.

Literally every thread on this site has a reference to South Austins mom, you shouldn't be shocked.

Isn't Boulware the one that literally has ST in his title?

This is correct. I think because Hutzler was hired first and has extensive special teams experience, I associated the position with him.

If only they weren't a national pariah whose fanbase couldn't even fill up half of the Sugar Bowl when they did make it.

They aren't tremendously additive even when they're good at sports.
