That is a massive amount of draft capitol to trade for a guy with 2 years left....I expect an extension to follow shortly.

however, man oh man it is going to be fun to see Adams in the box with Nino over the top. Hoping for shades of Kam/Earl

Hawks are going to need it cause that line isn't going to get pressure on ANYBODY right now unless that DE from Tennessee is an instant hit.

His teammates wont post another thing on Twitter about him.

If 5th round was the best they could get for Diggs that seems like he wasn't shopped well, but then again, be honest, we are message board posters. We dont know shit about players and that is not sarcasm. If he was worthy of a 2nd or 3rd round player he would have got that from one of the desperate teams with a shitty defense.

Yep; that post could be debunked entirely by one simple statement.

"He was voted a team captain by HIS teammates in Detroit."   - SDG.

Seattle Seahawks free safety Quandre Diggs carted off after breaking right fibula and dislocating ankle

6:43 PM CT  Brady HendersonESPN

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Seattle Seahawks free safety Quandre Diggs was carted off the field at State Farm Stadium on Sunday after breaking his right fibula and dislocating his ankle.

Diggs' ankle was put back into place, coach Pete Carroll said after the 38-30 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Carroll said Diggs will stay behind in Arizona. Teammate Tyler Lockett asked Carroll for permission to stay with Diggs and will do so, according to Carroll.

"He'll be back," Carroll said about Diggs recovering from the injury.

Diggs, who's in the final year of his contract, was in tears as he left the field. Cornerbacks D.J. Reed and Sidney Jones, among others, were visibly upset once Diggs went down with around 10 minutes left in Seattle's season finale against the Arizona Cardinals.

Diggs, 28, has arguably been the Seahawks' MVP this season with a team-high five interceptions. He was named the NFC's starting free safety last month in his second straight Pro Bowl selection.

Diggs wanted a new contract from the Seahawks this past offseason but did not get one. Instead, the team tweaked the final year of his current deal as a compromise. Diggs was briefly out of practice during training camp while finalizing an insurance policy, which he sought as financial protection in the absence of a new deal.

He had three tackles, including a tackle for loss, before his injury Sunday.

The scene on Sunday was somewhat reminiscent of what happened in 2018 with Earl Thomas, Diggs' predecessor at free safety. Thomas, who had sought a new deal from the Seahawks that offseason and didn't get one, broke his leg at State Farm Stadium in Week 4.

Hopefully whatever insurance he pursued will pay out large if in fact this latest injury proves difficult to overcome.

He broke his fibula and dislocated his ankle, which would be hard to watch in any situation. But if you knew the context, it might have made you want to cry.

Diggs was nine minutes and 17 seconds away from becoming a free agent for the first time in his career. Nine minutes and 17 seconds from landing a monster contract after playing like one of the best safeties in the league over the past two seasons, in which he made consecutive Pro Bowls.

Maybe that life-changing deal will still happen. Maybe the worst part of Diggs’  injury will be the appearance, and a full recovery will come. NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted that the break was clean, that there was no ligament damage, and that Diggs should be back on the field in four months.

But, man … it looked awful.

4 months seems awfully fast, but hopefully thats the case.
