Saw someone in the pinto beans thread reference Shiner Cheer and not realizing it was cherry.

My first thought, in true Surly stream of consciousness thinking, was of Cheerwine, a cherry soda found in North Carolina.

Naturally, this made me ponder the question, what other "local" foods and beverages are out there that I have never heard of? I'm thinking U.S. only here; international brands are no real surprise or challenge.

Cheerwine’s cousin Budwine (originally Bludwine) was born in Athens, GA and I grew up drinking both.

Conversely, I’d never even heard of Big Red until my first trip to Franklin in 2012 or so.
