Heard Herman wouldn't - was actually implied couldn't - hold team meeting to inform players.  Meyer found out before takeoff.  Figurative holding pattern...
I'm confused about why Herman not being able to inform the players would make Meyer wait...if that's what is being implied?

I read it as Herman couldn’t face the fact that he’s a failure and announce that he’s been fired. Also the holding pattern is just Meyer waiting to make his decision. Just how I read the info...

I took that as them lamenting that fact since they didn’t get Urban.

Fat lady hasn't sung yet. Let's not jinx this mfer before Herman is even fired.

Yeah the context suggests they're lamenting the fact that SC doesn't give a shit and isn't replacing coach potato.

Christ... I understand what he was saying. Smug was probably the wrong word. Maybe... bitchmade? It's just funny to me hearing a fan of another, more successful blue blood say that we take football more seriously. I mean maybe that's technically true - just seems like a super fucking low bar to clear if you spend time around most of our fanbase.

In my experiences in the corporate world is once someone is let go and they are deemed hostile then they are usually not allowed in facility or around others without escort and are generally not allowed to talk.

They don’t want Tom getting that super valuable binder full of bad game management decision trees

Herman hoping to get a vote of confidence tonight.  IT says “naw nigga, that ain’t happening.” (Translation:  IT does not expect that to happen.)

Odd scoop, but...

Was Herman busy killing himself recruiting in Florida?

Maybe we could “fix the glitch” and just stop paying Tom

But he will want to keep his red stapler.....

Not. At. All.  He was busy drawing up passing plays for when we have a lead late in the game.

You don't live here so I'm gonna say... just step away from the keyboard, man.

Californians do not care about football. Not merely, they don't care about it as much as Texans do. They don't really care. There's a handful of fans, but it's nothing like the religion it is in Texas.

Whatever. I don't feel like getting into this since it's pretty off-topic. Football is plenty popular in California. I don't need to live there to recognize that. I have a lot of close friends from there.

Popular? Sure. Anything even remotely similar to Texas? No.

Let's put it this way. No clergyman in the entire history of California ever witnessed people leaving the service because the Cowboys' have was about to start.

Clergy in Texas have been fired for having the service overlap football.
