Of course you work out money before "wife approval."

"I don't want you to coach again."

"They said $10 million per, no state income tax, and I'm pretty sure they'll do $12 if I ask."

"OK, see you in a few years."

Your scenario sounded like informing rather than seeking sign-off.  Which is more what I would imagine would happen here....

And if that doesn't work...

"Hey baby, this diamond studded pelaton sure would look nice in your bathroom."

Heard Herman wouldn't - was actually implied couldn't - hold team meeting to inform players.  Meyer found out before takeoff.  Figurative holding pattern...

I must have missed 60 minutes, what on earth are you talking about?

What did Meyer find out? That Herman got his ass fired?

Can someone translate this for us slow ones?

Mack still had some BMD's on his side, even after he was forced out. Herman is not in the same situation.

I know, this just has all the earmarks of a story we'll be telling ourselves 5 years from now during our next coaching search after Coachy McCoachface flames out about how we almost had Urban Meyer but Herman somehow bought himself time and Meyer backed out.

Lol what a smug-ass, bullshit comment.

"Texas takes football so much more seriously than we do."

Basically saying "it's okay if we suck, we don't take it seriously (even though we have one of the most storied cfb programs of all time)"

That would be pretty shitty if true unless there is some other factor like he told CDC to fuck off.

Wouldn’t put it past Herman to go out like a petulant bitch. Especially if the rumors that he and CDC have an already heated relationship.

I took that as them lamenting that fact since they didn’t get Urban.

Yeah the context suggests they're lamenting the fact that SC doesn't give a shit and isn't replacing coach potato. It's kinda amusing that they think our people have their shit together. They must have it bad to be looking up at us.

If I’m laying in bed and I’m Urban mulling this over, it would be very tough to pass up being the freaking King of Texas.

Texas high school coaches would be lined up around the block to work with him.

Why are you laying (lying) in bed already?  It's too early.

Agreed but he should be given the opportunity to address the team.

In my experiences in the corporate world is once someone is let go and they are deemed hostile then they are usually not allowed in facility or around others without escort and are generally not allowed to talk.

That’s been my experience too but I’ve never heard of a coach not being allowed to speak to the team.  I believe some have chosen not to.

Not a huge deal to me but I’d prefer Texas take the high road if possible.
