One way or another, Luhnow, Hinch and Cora are going to serve lengthy suspensions.

so should Beltran, but he'll get immunity as a player.  He and Cora were the two who set-up the system.

My thoughts on this are wishful thinking, mainly because I think every team in MLB is doing the exact same thing.

This is an MLB issue, and I don't even consider it a problem.

Of course, steroids didn't bother me in the least, either. I expect professional athletes to cheat.

I disagree. I don't think there will be any suspensions.

I have a bridge in Arizona for sale, if you’re interested.

Here’s my prediction, not that anyone particularly cares. I think Luhnow gets a year off, Hinch gets half a season, we lose multiple draft picks and Crane has to pay a 7 figure fine.

Now, MLB obviously has to be ready to hand out the same punishment if the Red Sox and Yankees, and anyone else in the same timeframe, get caught. But I think they will, because Manfred isn’t going to want this to be akin to the steroid issue which took way too long to get real repercussions to deter behavior. That, plus the juiced ball mess, would be bad for his legacy.

I'd consider this a love tap.

Moving on.

Josh Reddick may as well manage and try to earn some of that 13 mil.....since we ARE NOT TRADING HIM FOR LUIS CASTILLO

i guess there’s safety in numbers, as long as those numbers include the yankees and red sox.
That's why I wasn't terribly worried about it. Someone got salty, tattled, and then it was only a matter of time before someone else came forward to reveal that over half of the league has been doing it for years. As soon as the Astros started getting torn into, there were some nervous glances going around.

Jeff Passan on ESPN last night was trying to claim with a straight face that the Astros were worse cheaters than the Red Sox.

That is pretty much the consensus everywhere.  I listen to MLBNetwork Radio, and pretty much only watch MLB TV when I am not watching Netflix and shit.....everyone is pretty much on board with "well yeah they both cheated, but what the Astros did was 'really really' cheating!"

Even though the same coach was involved in both systems and they both used video feeds.  The only difference is that the Red Sox signaled to the batter from a runner on 2nd instead of with a trash can.

Red sox got caught in 2017 using apple watch. Also idolize Ortiz who got caught in report using peds. Astros will get hammered cause them winning isnt good for the big market teams

I didn't expect us to spend much this offseason but I guess we are going to roll with Machete, Garneau, and Stubbs at catcher?  Yikes.

Rondon's replacement might actually be someone they can get useful innings from, so that's a definite plus.

yeah definitely not mad about that boner killer moving on

Astros website already has Kyle Tucker as wearing #30(he wore it in the minors) so I guess he is taking Rondons old # and Straw is taking Tuckers #3.....then again we have 2 #13's with Garneau and Toro so someone may be drunk

He fills the "guy you pitch when the bullpen is worn out and you have no other options and maybe this time will be different" role very well.

Going to need about 3-5 pitchers step up this season from the organization.

Framber, James, Guduan, Martes, Perez, Sneed, Urquidy, Deetz, Abreu, and Armenteros.

Plenty of options.

I'd also purpose a 2 year deal for Sanchez that allows to have surgery and come back healthy at 28.
