I hope so. He didn’t look that good to me in their bowl game.

He's actually really fucking good. Wake had a couple of crucial injuries that changed their offense a lot, but he's good enough to take a ready made team like Florida or LSU to contender status.

This season, Newman completed 60.9 percent of his passes for 2,868 yards, 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Bowl 12/26 175-3-1

meh.

Texas desperately needs a great pass rusher. Guy would absolutely be a day 1 starter in a pass happy conference.

We have one now...

Of the grad transfers I’ve seen so far, it would’ve been really nice to land Theo Howard ( WR UCLA > OU) and Sills (All Big 12 OT WVU>OSU). Kinda sucks that we didn’t even appear to be interested in either. I know Herman’s mentioned being active in the GT market, so hopefully we hear of some potential names to Texas soon. Have to think that LB and WR are primary targets with TE and OL also being possibilities.

Herb Hand has recently followed Maryland RG Terrance Davis on Twitter. He is already in the transfer portal. He has a lot of experience. He also started following this tackle from Colorado St. I believe both would be grad transfers.

Aren't we also interested in an OL grad transfer from Tennessee?  Think he's a Center.  May also play some Guard.

Also, looks like other than Hand, Davis's other follows from schools are West Virginia and Wake Forest.

Center is probably the most pressing spot on the OL. Guessing Ghirmai and Kerstetter battle for that spot this fall. LT with Cosmi and one of the guard spots for Angilau seem to be the only starters locked in. A grad transfer guard or center would let Kerstetter lock the other spot down

Ryan Johnson. He's a RT/G. Committed to Georgia Tech.

Bryan Carrington just started following a Michigan C who has left school to prepare for the draft.  Seems an odd follow - but as long as he hasn't hired an agent I guess he's still fair game?

Ruiz was a two year starter at C and started 5 games as a freshman at G.

Just in case his projection warrants another season in college.. Good to see BC covering all angles.

Also sucks that OU is the leader.

Something wrong at Georgia.....

Georgia fans are upset about this one, he's apparently good and played all over their line. Won't be a grad transfer but obviously you take the proven 5* olineman. Two years of eligibility left.

This is big.  I think he has started at all 5 OL positions.  He'll probably follow their OL coach to Arky, but he'd be a big get.

Apparently his family are all Tennessee - he was once committed there and he has a brother enrolled there.

His parents weren't sure whether they were having a boy or girl, so they just split the difference on Chris and Stephany and called it a day.

Also big lol at being from Palmdale and going to Mater Dei - SoCal private school recruiting is so brazen.

Well, I'd guess this is part of his reason to transfer

And in case you're wondering how much he is suing them for ....

Derrick Johnson's cousin IIRC.
