Beating a dead horse here, but if we had simply kicked that 37-yard FG.....

No. Keep beating it.  When you have Dicker the MFing Kicker, shit is automatic.  He saved mesa's dumbass twice against the Kansas schools. And how does mensa reward him? Keeps him on the damn sideline when points are there.  Completely fucking stupid.

We get the ball, maybe even the wind in the third qtr

Maybe you aborted the memory out of self preservation, but we’re not getting the ball to start the second half.

I will ride the "go for it on 4th and 1 almost every time" horse til it dies on me, but holy shit do we run slow-developing obvious QB runs every damn time.

Down 3 given that football abortion we put on the field on the offensive side of the ball I'll take. Orlando actually earning his paycheck today.

NEED the offense to step up in Q3 (said Captain Obvious).

But it was 4th and 2yds,  down 7pts around the 20 yardline right??

Absolutely. It's a horse that needs beating.

Not taking the points cost us a halftime tie and projects desperation. Kicking it tells the team you're not in panic mode and know you're gonna come back and score more points. And we see this shit over & over. Sure, go for it sometimes when it fits the situation, but not every got damn time and with the same stupid play call.

Dbs have been playing solid. Good thing green is back after Jamison looked shaken up

I still want Orlando and the staff gone, but we’ve honestly played better after getting some players back.

What’s the offenses excuse?

Well, the entire team took one the first 29 minutes of the first half, so knock yourself out.

I thought the defense was ok. Which is better than the rest of the season.

The 4th down decisions should be informed by how both sides of the ball are playing, how precious points are in the game, and who has the momentum.   That was not a good decision. Our line was playing like shit and points are obviously going to be hard to come by.

I still like the decision to go for it. And a QB run could be ok, but we take forever to set it up, and then make it a slow drift out to the right. It doesn't let us try and catch them on their heels or completely fool them - it's total no man's land.

Defensive Coordinators have figured out Sam’s run tendencies and it is showing up.  Mensa needs to figure that out asap.

Not sams, Herman’s. It was painful as hell to watch us run straight at their numbers. Ain’t nothing Sam can do about that.

Fuck. Anyone that's seen even one Texas game has it figured out.

Although I am in hindsight agreement here, It doesn’t bother me as much as it may some. We should not be in that situation in the first place.

I’m happy that we’re still in the game. Doesn’t change my opinion that some heads need to roll. We should NEVER be happy to just “be in the game” with anyone.

if mensassclown  wants to be here beyond this season, he better fire at least half of his staff and hire some real coaches
