Bump. Looking for recommendation(s) on a family-oriented all-inclusive. 3 teens (13 - 16) plus the wife. Anywhere down the coastline is fine, within 90 or so minutes of the Cancun airport.

Thanks in advance.

Took my four teenage daughters (don’t say it) and wife to Ocean Coral and Turquesa a few years ago. It was perfectly fine and they had a blast. I thought the food was surprisingly good. I am sure there are much nicer but I suspect there are much worse as well. We had fun. Did a couple of day trips off property but mostly just drank, chilled by pool, drank, and then drank.

Look at the Dreams resorts. Upscale, nice and family friendly.

Posted this in the Tulum thread after our trip in June. Ignore the part about TQO- we flew into Tulum but the resort was in Puerto Aventuras, about an hour from CUN.

I forgot to mention in that post that there are multiple properties in that Barcelo footprint (I believe four, plus an adults-only). Staying at the Palace gives you access to all of them (restaurants and everything else). There's also a sports bar/mini-Main Event-type place at one of the properties, mini-golf, go-carts, a pool where you can swim with dolphins, and all the watersport stuff. Cenotes right across the street, but we didn't venure off-property that trip. Good spot for families.

Price range?

The Hyatt Ziva property is absolutely badass, that age group would also have a blast and have some independence on isla mujeres if you rented a cart and let them use it.

You almost can't go wrong 4 star and up in Cancun nowadays, it's the budget and choose your own adventure shit that can go south quick.

Looking for a Cancun AI for a family of 4 (18 and 20 year old kids) that has a good club nightlife scene and good beach. The boy has found the club scene at school and I’d like a fun club type scene onsite (while we sleep). The RIU properties seem to have this.

Willing to spend for something good.

Maybe Ibiza?

Secrets Moxche is really nice and your 18 year old just makes the 18 and up cutoff.  It is mostly a middle aged crowd, but there are usually college kids, bachelorette parties and all that going on too.   The onsite club is really good and there are several other bars that are cool for hanging out.  If you are a baller, level up to Impression which gives you access to all the Secrets resort stuff, plus the private, super upscale areas in Impression with Butlers and all that.  The swimming pools are spectacular.  The beach is ok (not the best in the area) but they make up for it with a huge white sand lagoon entry pool
