Actually it will probably help recruiting.

Maybe.  I say an academy kid is an academy kid.  Pro prospects are usually the farthest thing from their minds.

I was hoping for an Army win, but Navy is a damn good team.

For Navy, Perry is the difference maker.

Still doesn't explain Army's  7 fucking points on offense.

Army played the 3rd string QB due to injuries...Congrats to Navy... West Point 03 here and I’ll take Malcom Perry going 1 and 3 vs the Army team over his tenure!

They moved him to fullback, and the coach admitted it was the worst mistake he has ever made

I think that might have been to the slot but, nonetheless, he wasn't at QB.

tell me a better moment in sports between two teams...

Seeing Sooner fans streaming out of the Cotton Bowl in the 4th quarter is the best moment in sports, but I get your point.

I love that the two teams in this game are older than the country they play in/for.

Lolz.  I'd second that with a Kyle Field 'quiet as a library and the Brazos is gonna overflow with aggy tears' Exit, but yeah, not quite the same thing.

WP was founded in 1802...

Naval Academy started in 1845.

I was speaking more in terms of how USMA Black Knights are ostensibly playing for the entire Service Branch-the U.S. Army (and for the Air Corps/Air Force until '54).

And the USNA Midshipmen are tacitly playing for the entire Service Branch-the U.S. Navy (and really, the U.S. Marine Corps as well).

I did know that the academies themselves were founded much later, and their football programs much later after that.

As a USNA graduate in our family used to say...they've had 100 years to come up with a cool name for it, it's not called the Service Academy Series, the Naval Academy-Military Academy Rivalry, Annapolis v. West Point, The War at the Shore, et. al.  It may be the Black Knights and the Middies on that little green field, but we call it simply Army/Navy.  Because we're all on the line.

I’m amazed that 4chan was able to turn the circle game into this media backlash spread by the likes of Hugo bad teammate jimmy John and the rest of the cloak room circle jerk offs. Get educated and stop spreading that stupid shit

I thought that is what they were playing too? Made you look? Does that mean something else today?

Yeah, politics aside, something tells me that 21 year olds with training on all manner of high powered weapon systems, that haze their plebes in a way that makes Longhorn frat activities look like a PBS after-school special, who are just months away from officer commission and deployment to theaters of warfare, and whom will lead the next wave of American warfighters for well over a full generation...DO NOT FUCKING PLAY the "Made you Look" game.  I think some of you still believe in Santa Claus, too.  Hit me up when you're looking for your next poker game.

You haven’t met many West Point grads have you?  I hang out with a few of those goofy fuckers in Houston and I can easily see them playing this game in their late teens early 20s. Especially durning army/navy.   In the end they are still teens and young adults. Not emotionless super solders.

What do you think is more likely?  A bunch of young adults having fun Playing a decades old game on national tv during their biggest football event of the year or undercover neonazi’s who spent years infiltrating America’s most prestigious military institute only to throw it all way at the very end by doing a hand gesturing on national tv?

I don't think they are "undercover neonazi's", no.  Two of my senior business partners are West Point grads as are a handful of my fellow faculty members.  I'm not related to any, just USNA.  I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle.  I'm guessing it was a joke made in poor taste, not a hate crime and not innocent shenanigans.

1)  anyone that has ever served knows the circle game  shit i got hit last week when a Lt Col caught me  it’s just a dumb laugh out loud thing we all still do  call it camaraderie. The Lt Col was female by the way so it’s not dumb boys. Also

The execution of “Operation O-K-K-K” is one of 4chans most blatant social engineering campaigns in recent history. What started off as a joke escalated into wide-scale trolling with the sole objective of grooming societal perspective and opinion. I believe it is safe to say that Operation O-K-K-K was a successful mission. It now appears that anyone who flashes the OK hand sign may come under scrutiny for being associated with internet trolling and white nationalism.

Yes it's a totally artificial symbol made up by people with a lot of time and grudges.  If tomorrow someone declares blue jeans are a socialist emblem, I'm not buying new pants to avoid social media drivel.

Dude they're still college kids,  not Rambo, they still do college kid shit. I also kinda doubt the hazing you're suggesting is looked upon kindly by the powers that be at Federal military colleges. It ain't A&M or the Citadel.

While it's just a stupid little game, I dig the whole vibe of your over the top, ridiculous, darker reason.  Make a great movie.
