Yoel tried to be a snapping turtle for the first two rounds. That's on him.

Yoel ain't blameless.  But he literally stood still for the first 3 minutes of the fight, and Israel didn't try a single strike despite bragging about how he would be the first person to out Yoel down...

They are playing a dangerous game of chess, but it those first two rounds were weird to score.

They were playing chess, but only making one move each per round. Ain't enough rounds to stare at each other for 4 mins per round. Should have the yellow card and deduction from their check for not engaging.

You have adesanya saying it takes 2 people to fight and Romero was just sitting there. You have Romero saying adesanya was running all fight. You have Dana white saying it was a shitty fight, both guys could’ve done more, but he sides with Adesanya more than Romero.

It’s crazy how that was the one dud fight on this entire card. Luckily we had the straw-weight fight right before

She’s apparently fine, the 60-day suspension is standard.

Quote

A few UFC 248 fighters are facing potentially lengthy medical suspensions, but co-main eventers Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk emerged with relatively minimal time on the sidelines.

Zhang and Jedrzejczyk fought an all-out war for the full five rounds of their strawweight championship bout. Each of them put on a stunning technical striking display, while holding nothing back.

They each wore the results of their battle across their faces at the end of the night. Zhang’s face was battered and swollen. Jedrzejczyk’s was quite literally disfigured from a massive hematoma that formed across her forehead, while her nose was knocked sideways.

Zhang and Jedrzejczyk were both transported to a local hospital following the bout, but they emerged without any serious injuries.

Each fighter received a 60-day suspension without further medical stipulations, despite what has quickly been called one of the most competitive and epic battles in UFC history. Zhang walked out of the Octagon with a split-decision victory and her strawweight title in hand.

So UK cancelled this upcoming UFC event. UFC willing to relocate on the fly somewhere in the U.S., possibly somewhere on sovereign Indian lands. Leon Edwards cancels not feeling comfortable with the logistics of everyone on his team being able to fly and return.

So in case you are under a rock, next three events postponed supposedly due to POTUS' recommended mandate of gatherings of less than 10 people. But the Trump and Dana are rather close. You would think that Trump would have loved for the fights to carry on, there are reports that he is pleaded with the NFL not cancel its season (no cloak room).

This seamed very doable and would practically have been the only sports on TV. That would have been a boon for ESPN and the deluge of weekly events. Covington was a consideration to replace Leon Edwards with the fight on a reservation near OKC.

Supposedly Khabib vs Ferguson is still on. Yeah right.
