Just a tad...

Sure did.  212 Tds and 210 INTs and barely a 50% career completion rate didn't get him into the HOF.  Eli has better numbers along with 2 rings, 2 SB MVPs.  He's in.  He may not be in the top tier of QBs in Canton but he'll far from the worst one in there.

Passing numbers from the 70s and 2000s are not really apples to apples comparisons though.
