Greatest healthcare system in the world.  If only they ranked and tracked those things.

All of a sudden this guy is tweeting shit about Healtcare and attempting to pro-actively blame shift to the democrats...

He literally just got it through is thick skull just how bad this actually is going to be and he's scrambling to control the message.

He's been game planning for weeks now how to blame this on Team D.  He's floated border and whatnot, but nothing has stuck.

Hard to pin this on any political party; last I checked, neither of the two can control nature.  But by God, he's gonna try.

Yep.  This is progress. Maybe his idiot cult will stop pretending it's the fucking flu.

Dude, this virus only broke out about a month ago.  You don't just snap your fingers and create a vaccine.  If it was that easy we would have cures for every disease known to mankind.  And we are still the country everyone looked to as a model in these times.  As of yesterday there had been 1020 cases reported in a country with a population that will be right around 350 million after the census is finalized.  Compare that ratio to practically any other country on earth.  Turn the goddamn media off.  If the media actually told you how good we have it in this country compared to the rest of the world no one would ever have a reason to watch them and they know that.  That not only applies to this virus but to every supposed shortcoming the U.S. has that they won't shut up about.

you sound like an idiot that's never travelled.   If I want to see how the rest of the world lives, I go to the rest of the world and check it out myself.  And I've been a few places that look pretty fucking good relative to what we have.

No fucking lie there. Canada is about to have to install a border wall quickly.

yeah, that part was the dead giveaway that this dude has no idea what he is talking about and has likely never been out of the country. America is the best place in the world! Except for all those other countries that have a WAY better quality of life for the average citizen. LO-fucking-L.

Lol, he's the  most macho, strongest President ever.  But he pissed he have to work with a woman.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-is-seething-over-having-to-work-with-nancy-pelosi-on-a-coronavirus-response?ref=home

Quote

All of official Washington has come to an agreement that swift, bold action is needed to counteract the dramatic economic impact of the coronavirus’ spread. But negotiations around such a package have been complicated by the fact that President Donald Trump can’t stand the idea of negotiating one-on-one with his chief counterpart, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Indeed, he suspects that she would use the moment to try to humiliate him.

Two senior Trump administration officials described a president who, out of an intense bitterness toward the House Speaker, has shuddered at the prospect of being in the same room with her during the ongoing public-health crisis and economic reverberations.

Quote

Instead, Trump has deputized some of his more prominent lieutenants to handle the delicate negotiations. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, in particular, has emerged as one of the administration’s top envoys to Capitol Hill, as Team Trump and lawmakers attempt to cobble together some form of economic stimulus in the wake of a now-declared global pandemic.

“At this time, the president does not see it as productive to [personally] negotiate directly with Nancy Pelosi,” said one of the senior administration officials. “For now, it’s best for her to deal directly with Sec. Mnuchin and others in the administration.” The official recalled how Trump bristled at Pelosi for, in the president’s estimation, “immediately” leaving recent private meetings the two had to leak its contents and try to, in the source’s characterization, “make the president look bad and score political points.”

Quote

“When you’re in the middle of a public health crisis, you don’t need that kind of theater,” this official added.

Fears of that happening have animated the president as he has charted out a response to the growing coronavirus threat. During one recent meeting, the president mentioned that he didn’t want to “waste my time” right now “with Nancy” and Democratic leaders given how “horrible” Pelosi has been lately, according to a person with knowledge of the meeting. At the same meeting, the president made sure to specifically reference Pelosi tearing up a physical copy of his “beautiful” State of the Union speech, as a reason for him believing discussions with her would be fruitless.

Comforting story from The Atlantic for those of us here in Central Texas:

Quote

On her trip, she had frequently been in large, international crowds, where she could easily have been exposed to the coronavirus. But despite having all the symptoms, she has not been tested for it. When she called Austin’s public-health department to ask for guidance, she was told that unless she was hospitalized or had traveled to China, she could not be tested for COVID-19.

“The woman who I talked to said, ‘There aren’t any cases here [in Travis County],’” she told us. “And I said, ‘There hasn’t been any testing, so how do you know?’”

Without a firm answer about whether she has the virus, she has agonized over how to act responsibly. When is she overreacting? When is she being reckless? She and her husband have stayed home since they became ill, but their son and daughter, both younger than 5, attended school until her daughter ran a fever last week.  ...  “Am I supposed to tell my team [at work]? Am I supposed to tell my kids’ school? Am I supposed to tell everyone I interacted with for the last four weeks?” she asked. “I don’t want to start a crisis, because I don’t know if I actually have this thing.”

Spoiler

“I have no clue if we could have already or could be now spreading this to others,” a 38-year-old woman who lives near Austin, Texas, who asked not to be identified for privacy reasons, told us.

After returning from Western Europe in late January, the woman and her husband came down with a mysterious illness, which sent them in and out of week-long fevers. She and her husband would wake up coughing in the middle of the night, their ribs aching so badly that they needed to vomit. She has tested negative for the flu, twice, and also tested negative for strep. She has been diagnosed with pneumonia.

She and her husband have stayed home since they became ill, but their son and daughter, both younger than 5, attended school until her daughter ran a fever last week.

“There’s no guidelines out there, even at the urgent care today,” she said. She now plans to keep both kids at home for the next two weeks.

But that’s only one of many arenas where there is currently no firm guidance for people who think they may have the virus, but who cannot get tested for it.

“Am I supposed to tell my team [at work]? Am I supposed to tell my kids’ school? Am I supposed to tell everyone I interacted with for the last four weeks?” she asked. “I don’t want to start a crisis, because I don’t know if I actually have this thing.”

Top notch job of getting clear guidance out there across the board, it would seem.

‘Idiots that have never traveled’ are Trump’s wheelhouse.  They live in buttfuck, MS with nothing but garbage ass options for food, entertainment etc etc...yet they’re all convinced it’s just SOOO much better than the best that Mexico has to offer.
Hell if anything they love the biggest shithole in all of Mexico (Cancun).  These people have it figured out.  Do not argue with them.

Had a trump loving supplier randomly stop by today. He tried to shake my hand and made a snide comment when I declined about how it was all liberal fake news.

he then told me is was overblown because three of his other customers have people in quarantine and they feel fine. Wtf

I fucking laid into him and requested that he leave office Immediately. I don’t have time to deal with these dipshits.

Trust me, it's gonna be weird to watch.

I've been watching professional soccer from Italy and Germany without crowds and it's eerily quite.

All you hear are the players and coaches talking to each other

If Canada installs a wall it will be the Stassi wall to keep their citizens from coming to US for treatment. It takes 10 weeks to get to a specialist in Canada so they come here. Yeah the Orange man is bad, but there is a large amount of stupid halfwit dumbassery written in this thread.
