If Canada installs a wall it will be the Stassi wall to keep their citizens from coming to US for treatment. It takes 10 weeks to get to a specialist in Canada so they come here. Yeah the Orange man is bad, but there is a large amount of stupid halfwit dumbassery written in this thread.

Why would Canada care if its citizens got treatment here? This is a dumb post and you should feel dumb for posting it.

I think its more of an aspirational statement on his part. I have no doubt if he keeps posting it'll come true.

Trust me, it's gonna be weird to watch.

I've been watching professional soccer from Italy and Germany without crowds and it's eerily quite.

All you hear are the players and coaches talking to each other

they were mentioning on the radio the sound guys need to be quick or they're going to catch a lot of coaches' profanity-laced tirades

Pros like you and all the liberal surly posters that know it all? lol ok. This is another form of the flu but yea ok freak out and stay at home.

Crossposting because this will invariably get political...how many people are this fucking stupid?  Prior to this it was pointed out Mayo Clinic banned all nonessential travel...you need to fucking apply to leave the state - and this is Rockethorn's response.  My mind is bottled.  I guess I am lucky, because I don't really encounter people this stupid unless I'm in the dementia unit.

That leaves out a pretty important detail. In what time frame does he expect those 70-150 million people to contract it? If it's in the next 3 months we are fucked. If it's in the next 2-3 years then that's a completely different story.

The downside of making technology so easy that a 3 year old could use it is that someone as dumb as a 3 year old can use it.

Yep, but he will be hugely sad about it publicly and blame "far left libruls" (which is a nonsensical term but who needs "Nowledge").

Do you mind if I steal that?  Well said.

Good point, but the statistic is horrible even over three years. The Chinese bought us some time and Nero fiddled while Rome burned.

Be nice to get it over with before the LSU game, though.

What’s he supposed to do?  All the experts are tied up.  Gary Busey is running our nuclear weapons development program.  Dee Snider has his hands full as Secretary of the Navy.  And Kanye is burning the midnight oil hashing out the Federal Reserve’s fiscal policy moves.  Jared Kushner is the next most qualified epidemiologist.

What does a research session with Kushner actually look like?  Does he call up Smitty for advice, because he got a higher grade in biology sophomore year?

This is probably a choose your own adventure type deal.  So far we have definitely opted for the shorter story.

I'm pretty sure that he knows Squi and Donky Dong Doug through Kavanaugh, so he'll likely get a consult from them as well.

How the hell is ted cruz on day 13 of his self-quarantine?

He isn't doing it for 14 days, he is doing it for 14 days from the date of his exposure. He didn't find out about the exposure until 10 days after it had happened. So, really he is just quarantining himself for 4 days.

Whew.  I was worried Hannity would develop some kind of consciousness; to use his platform to discuss this issue with honesty and concern for the public.

Never fear; he didn't change his ways:

https://www.thedailybeast.com/hannity-might-be-true-that-deep-state-is-using-coronavirus-to-hurt-economy?ref=home

Quote

Fox News host Sean Hannity took to his radio show on Wednesday to once again downplay concerns over the coronavirus outbreak, this time citing a Twitter crank to credulously claim that it might “be true” that the so-called “deep state” is using the pandemic to hurt the economy and push “mandated medicines.”

Quote

Hannity, who also serves as an informal adviser to President Donald Trump and is sometimes referred to as the White House chief of staff, first pointed to a far-right blog to insist that the American public is approving of the president’s response to the coronavirus.

Quote

“Gateway Pundit points out that, as of yesterday, that the president’s approval rating is fine, and he’s getting pretty good grades on everything else,” Hannity boasted during his afternoon radio program, as first spotlighted by Media Matters.

A Quinnipiac poll released earlier this week, however, shows Trump’s approval rating has dropped to 41 percent amid fears of the coronavirus crisis worsening. A plurality of respondents also disapproves of the president’s response to the outbreak, compared to just 43 percent who approve.

Spoiler

“There’s an MIT guy I noticed on Twitter, and you know he’s saying pretty much the same thing he does research nearly every single day on immune systems he said quote ‘coronavirus fear-mongering by the deep state will go down in history as one of the biggest frauds to manipulate economies, suppress dissent, and push mandated medicines,’” Hannity said, adding, “May be true.”

The person whom the pro-Trump host cited, Shiva Ayyadurai, is a right-wing provocateur who has promoted the far-right conspiracy theory QAnon. He also ran for the Senate in 2018 against Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and repeatedly called her a “Fake Indian,” “fascist,” and “scumbag” during his disastrous campaign.

With COVID-19 having now resulted in dozens of American deaths, tanking stock markets and causing mass cancellations across the nation, Hannity has continued to minimize and downplay the dangers of the disease. The nation’s top expert on infectious disease, however, pointed out to Hannity’s viewers on Tuesday night that he’s “gotta make sure” they understand that coronavirus is at least 10 times as lethal as the seasonal flu, which Hannity and Trump have regularly compared this outbreak to.
