Speaking of Qanon, what’s their take on this?  I imagine this has to be worked into their conspiracy narrative somehow.  It can’t just be a natural phenomenon disrupting normal tin-foil events.  Their self-identity is too tied up in there being some great hidden hand guiding the events of the day.

I don't know as I don't follow them, but if you want we can probably dream up a good grift opportunity if we are able to work Area 51 in there somewhere.

In addition, I'm working on a human version of the 'Cone of Shame' that people put on their pets only it is to keep people from touching their face. I can't decide on the decorative parts though. After seeing the Corona Task Force photos though, maybe some bible verses like 2 Corinthians or something.

I actually find the removal of data and news releases from their site troubling. The document shredding that has occurred over the last year has increased and institutional memory being erased.

This is a very real concern. Trump admin has been making edits to the national archives to literally rewrite history

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/04/opinion/archives-document-destruction.html

https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/national-archives-exhibit-blurs-images-critical-of-president-trump/2020/01/17/71d8e80c-37e3-11ea-9541-9107303481a4_story.html

Coronavirus will be no different. We have always been at war with rhinovirus.

Good f'n Lord.

Good for Dr. Fauci for standing his ground - Dotard isn't used to that and with the arms crossed and whatnot, you can tell he doesn't like it.  I'm pretty sure my 10 year old could grasp some of these concepts more easily than our president.  And he'd have the added benefit of not believing in his heart of hearts that he's the smartest person in the room.

my 11 year old son, watching the press conference over his homework looked at me and said "wait, is that the vice president?" i said yes, and without missing a beat he said "how can a guy like that work for a guy like trump?"

the level of gravitas pence projects as compared with the orange dotard is transparent to 11 year olds.

The brief moment of understanding about WHY it is important to test vaccines and treatments before rolling out for widespread use is illuminating and concerning.

Just think of how many other instances of him crossing his arms and saying "i want it so, even if it's not rational to expect" are met with yes-men rather than a room full of experts.

It's going to be such a fucking mess cleaning up all of his messes.

If it wouldn't screw most Americans, I wish the doctor would suggest that spiritual advisor, Paula White, will now be in charge of all medical explanations. You have to know that this is why his intel briefings have gone from everyday to now maybe once a week. The generals could have told Dr. Fauci it would go like this.

I have a feeling all the knowledgeable civil servants are trying to decide whether to resign or keep doing their duty right about now or in the near future. They will probably get fired making their decision easier

Anyone make golden milk?  It’s great for you, tastes good, and easy to make.  Lots of science behind it.  The main ingredient is turmeric, which contains curcumin, and has, among other benefits, anti-viral properties.

Black pepper is essential to golden milk as it increases absorption curcumin.

I nuke a cup of milk and then stir in turmeric, pepper, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg to make mine.

I may still get the flu, but this stuff will still be helping to lower my cholesterol, inflammation, and prevent Alzheimer’s.

You forgot the elderberries.

The elderberries have clinical data similar to tamiflu, and bench data wrt corona. Not as robust, but some data none the less. I am quite comfortable with elderberry extract for influenza season, and figure it wont hurt with corona.

Deaths are ticking up, doesn't look so great or cause to be gruntled. CDC is dropping the ball all over the place on testing and containing. I admire your blind optimism for a man who couldn't keep a fucking casino operating, and who has killed damn near every business that actually sells something of value besides his brand.

Don't mean to shit all over your take, but cmon man. You really thought we were in good hands on this?

My cotton balls are oiled and ready, how about you?

Pharma exec talking vax ready to enter clinical trials, Fauci talking output time from clinical trials. Trump don't know the difference, and the people at the table who do are laughing.

I think trump supporters should just take the vax that hasn't been through trials.  Trump says it's ready.  Go for it.

So Qanon says  you get it from drinking corona and get rid of by drinking bleach?

how about a new drink called the Pence?  Corona and lime scented bleach?  Like we used to have chicken pox parties back in the 80’s, we could have hoax covid19 parties now where you get together and have several Pence cocktails to expose yourself and heal yourself all in one night in the company of friends

Thus the use of oiled cotton balls.
