Weak attempted gotcha Fozzz. Lollapalooza was a terrible idea and it never should have happened. They had 100K for each of 4 days, lots of which were people going to multiple days. They required vaccinations or proof of a negative test before admission. There is no way everyone met those criteria. Even if they did, breakthroughs could have attended and people recently infected, but still testing negative in the days before. There are going to be a lot of infections that stem from Lollapalooza and afterwards.

Sturgis is a whole other level of stupid. 700K mostly unvaccinated, unmasked people hanging out drinking for 9 days in a tiny South Dakota town. They come from all over the country, but especially the Midwest. Last year fucked a lot of states and that was with the original wuhan variant. Delta has an R between chicken pox and measles.

her: “you really don’t have to worry tho. I never get sick. And I’m staying very raw/clean/organic and keeping my body super alkaline.”

Add an “I trust in my immune system” and this is my granola liberal friend, godmother to my son. Tried to convince her to do just one shot before she left the country. No dice.

In my experience, there are a lot of doctors who think they're automatically good businessmen.

Coming from a medical family, yep. Luckily my dad was an engineer first, so he was a bit more well rounded than some, but a couple of his partners I always felt were spending way out over their skis.

her: “you really don’t have to worry tho. I never get sick. And I’m staying very raw/clean/organic and keeping my body super alkaline.”

Me: “Have you seen a Milgauss in the wild recently? it seems like everything available is going for 25%+ over MSRP.”

him: “My watch guy has been battling a fierce case of COVID (!), but he seems to be on the mend. I’ll get in line for one.

He tried to go to the hospital because he couldn’t breathe and they wouldn’t take him. Suffice it to say he believes in COVID more than he used to. “

Me: “Unvaccinated  I take it?”

him: “Of course.
The general theme of his texts has been, “Wow, this is as bad as they said.”

The her seems stupid.

I'm friends with Boston's counterpart in Bell Co.  Polar opposites.

I have told some of these people "God didn't give us doctors, nurses, hospitals, and vaccines on a whim.  He did it for a reason.  Everything is His plan, and he put all of those people and those hospitals into place and he guided those researchers into making vaccines to save His people."

Pisses them off, because they don't want to argue against it.

The ones I have engaged with this come back with science is the work of the devil.

So I just tested positive. For those not keeping score at home, I got J&J in March and a supplemental Pfizer last Monday. Started feeling off on Friday (after extremely mild post-vaccine reaction) and realized I couldn’t smell or taste anything.

Two vaccines and delta (I’m assuming) don’t give a fuck. Probably still to early for Pfizer to have any effect, but still.

Have felt achy and sinus pressure for a few days, but nothing too bad. Add me to the case pile. Hopefully not the hospital or body pile.

How you feeling man?  Hang in there!

Agree.

My heart is hardening to those who disrupt and harm others with their selfishness and utter stupidity. They are acting out like toddlers. They need a time out.

I lost one friend several years back to the Q movement.  I decided today to cut another free after he gave me this smug smartass story about how he set some receptionist in Houston straight about how he'll get vaccinated the day he gets shipped to the internment camp.   I told him to leave, to GTF out of my shop.   I'm just so tired of these fuckers thinking they are so smart, and they only humor me because I am too caught up in the Biden Socialist Program.    And I am surrounded by them.

He and his wife have been good friends in the past, but I just couldn't help but think "Go ahead you two, FAFO."  And if one or both died, I'd probably not shed a tear.

I’m just exhausted at this point. Like I can’t believe this country banded together for WW2. Young men begging to sign up, the people at home doing what they needed to do. I can’t believe we got pretty much everyone onboard with the polio vaccine. I can’t believe how United we were after 9/11(until W did W things). These were our grandparents and great grandparents and @Armybrat coming together for the greater good. Now half the fucking country loves the dumbest mother fucker alive, refuses to wear masks or get vaccinated and openly mock a serious fucking pandemic. How the fuck did we get to this point!?!?

White privilege and white supremacy were not under threat at that time.  In fact it might have been argued by some that the white race made America the savior of the world.    And follow the money.  What better way to rebuild the post Depression economy than by selling arms and goods to war ravaged  countries?

Yep.  I’ve said it before.  The further out into the boondocks you get, the higher the odds your doctor is a dipshit.  Also I’ve known dozens of surgeons who start in the city and keep moving further out as they subpar results are better known - sadly they usually do well set up in some bumblefuck outpost.
Of course there are exceptions but it’s certainly a fact that the stupid ends up concentrated rurally.

The same thing with law enforcement.   The rural counties tend to get the disciplinary cases the larger counties want gone.  Probably the same for schools too.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As COVID-19 case numbers continue to rise, local medical experts are urging people to get vaccinated.

Now a local church is stepping up to encourage the community to not only get vaccinated--but educated about the virus.

Action News Jax Courtney Cole spoke to George Davis, the Senior Pastor of Impact Church about how COVID-19 has impacted him and inspired him to host the vaccine event on Sunday, August 8th.

“My phone and the phone of my staff members has literally been ringing off the hook,” Bishop Davis told Cole.

Davis said they’ve received phone calls every single day with people telling them about family members affected by COVID-19.

“They are at home now--scared, struggling. Some who have already been in the hospital, who transitioned to ICU and obviously as a church we’re praying for them.”

But Bishop Davis said it’s time to take another step forward.

“Because I’ve gotten so many calls from people who are unvaccinated and are now in a very bad state. We literally have six people who have tested positive, end up in the hospital, and passed away in the last 10 days,” Davis explained.

Davis told Cole all of the people who died were unvaccinated. Four of the 6 people were under the age of 35, with the youngest being 24-years-old.

On Sunday, Impact Church is collaborating with the Department of Health to host a vaccination event in honor of and Dr. Leon Haley, Jr. Educators from UF Health will also be with information and ready to answers questions as well.

“We all know what a wonderful job he did in Jacksonville and how this was his passion project. He put his life and work on the line to help people get vaccinated,” Davis said.

Davis continued by explaining that after every service, people will have the opportunity to get vaccinated.

“They can file right out of church service into another room we have set up and get the vaccination,” Davis said.

This is the second vaccination event the church has hosted this year; they hosted their first vaccination event in March.

Pastor Davis said they were able to get nearly 800 people vaccinated. With the Delta variant affecting even more of our young people, he’s hoping for just as good of a turnout, or even better on Sunday.

“We’re Americans--whether you’re black, white, protestant, Catholic, atheist, heterosexual, homosexual, this virus doesn’t care. It does not discriminate. So we’ve got to put down all of our weapons and our fighting tools and just say hey, what can we do for the better good of our whole community?”

Props to the pastor...

I get it’s all a dog and pony show, but this man should be charged with murder.  You don’t have to like team blue, but if you support this man you outright support murder.

A functional, first world country would charge him with many manslaughter charges  at least. He's criminally stupid, with a Dunning-Kruger drive to fuck it up for the rest of society. He wants to dominate all the marbles, eat all the marbles, but also shove a few up his nose.

DeSantis is literally the best case scenario for the 2024 Republican nominee. Pretty awesome thought.

And thanks to the Georgia GOP, among other states, he's probably a shoe-in to win those states no matter what.

The vaccination event is tomorrow, not past tense.

While I applaud church leadership for hosting the event, it's a shame it took six members dying before they found science.

If you read past the headline they're hosting another event. They had a vaccination event prior in March.

I am not sure that Sturgis will make much difference this year, simply because the people who go there and breathe on each other would be doing the exact same thing if they stayed home. I mean, maybe it'll go up a little, but it's not as if these conformist play-pirates were showing any consideration in their home towns beforehand. It might just change where they got it, not if.

We’ll know in a few weeks.

Good on the church leaders for trying to get their members and the public vaccinated. They’re doing Gods work. Too bad some of their parishioners decided to ignore science and their own church.

there are some strong Darwin candidates with this pandemic. It’s tragic that they’re taking others out with them.

Im not a fan of those ambiguous threats: Get the vaccine or you risk termination? Weak. Instead be straight forward. Vaccine or you will lose your job. It’s ok to follow it that there may be limited exceptions.

It seems that some CEOs want to leave themselves an out in case 25% of their workforce decides against it. Personally I don’t think that will happen if you send a strong message.

If you’re already a good employer and people want to work there, you will lose only a small percent of your workforce.

If the church really gave a shit, they wouldn’t have had indoor services packed with people. But, they gotta keep those hands in the pockets of the gullible.

Besides all those folks get to ride raptors with the J-man in heaven AND we don’t have to suffer the consequences of their ignorance anymore. Win-win
