Will be at a conference with my wife next month on Valentine's Day weekend. Never been to Tulsa, so looking for suggestions on a place to make reservations for a date night. Doesn't need to be a fancy-smancy place, just somewhere that has good food and atmosphere.

My buddy said "anywhere on Brookside."

I'm sure they have a Cracker Barrel there.

Actually....downtown, near the Federal courthouse, they have a joint simply called "Coney Island."

I had a week long pretrial hearing there many moons ago....and I had this for lunch EVERY.  SINGLE.  DAY.

It was actually pretty damned good.

Had a salad for dinner at the hotel each night, though (the same hotel that the damned train ran by making a godawful racket in the middle of the night, every night).  Gotta create some balance in the force.

You should totally take her there -- it's a downtown Tulsa tradition.

I'm sure those Chili dogs would make for an interesting "after dinner date" night.

If she ain't woman enough to handle you after a 3 chili dog dinner, she don't deserve ya.  That's what I say.

I'm fond of any of these four, for a more intimate dinner:

EDIT:  And if you want something far more "rustic" (especially the North Tulsa location), and seafood:

Jamil's Steakhouse is an experience.  Been around since 1945.  Best Steakhouse in Tulsa.

Grandparents lived in Tulsa and we spend plenty of time there.  Jamil's was the goto nice restaurant.  If I were in Tulsa right now, the one place I would eat is Coney Island, though.

It's been 15 years, but we used to stay at Hotel Ambassador on drives through, and I don't really recall finding much better in town than The Chalkboard (ground floor/basement).

Smoke is a solid steakhouse. Juniper was a

Nice upscale place the one time I went there.

There’s a nice place in the Brady district called amelias or something. It’s really good and has great drinks.

I did come across this place that seems interesting and has good reviews. Caribbean inspired - https://www.sisserousrestaurant.com/
Ended up going here as that is what the little woman wanted. Both of us had a fish dish and shared the Lobster Thermidor as an appetizer. Nice Caribbean spices and atmosphere.
Lunch today was Coney I-Lander as the original Coney Island is closed on Sundays. The dogs and frito pie were great.1067a69c7334e5e576a17ffed5466be8.jpg3d88bfc49cfef7897eeca93de6061d4e.jpgeb939996254b041670f1581537a8ff48.jpg
